Myles Lewis-Skelly to receive huge Arsenal pay rise - David Ornstein

Arsenal wonderkid Myles Lewis-Skelly is set to become one of the world's best-paid young players, according to David Ornstein.
The 18-year-old is on the verge of signing a new long-term contract with the Gunners after months of speculation surrounding his future. Due to his age, his current contract, signed in October 2023, only runs until 2026.
This situation has reportedly alerted Real Madrid, who are increasingly making a habit of luring out-of-contract stars to the Santiago Bernabeu, having recently signed Liverpool vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold.
However, as FootballTransfers exclusively reported in March, a new Arsenal contract for Lewis-Skelly was never in doubt. In fact, there has been a broad agreement on fresh terms with the player for some time.
We reported that key players Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Bukayo Saka and youngsters Ethan Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly are all set to pen new contracts with the North London giants. Gabriel's deal has already been announced.
Lewis-Skelly receives pay increase
According to Charles Watts and confirmed by David Ornstein of The Athletic, Lewis-Skelly is now on the verge of formally putting pen to paper on his lucrative new contract.
Ornstein states that the teenager will become one of the world's best-paid young players, although his exact wage has not been disclosed. Manager Mikel Arteta is described as having been 'crucial' in the talks with the 18-year-old.

The deal was negotiated by his mother Marcia Lewis, and will see Lewis-Skelly commit his long-term future to Arsenal after breaking into the first team last season.
The youngster made 39 appearances for the Premier League runners-up, recording a goal and two assists. He also made his debut for England in March and immediately found the back of the net. The left-back's rise to prominence is now set to be rewarded with a hefty raise.
