About us
FootballTransfers is your home for all the latest transfer news surrounding the biggest teams in the world.
We provide up-to-date news, features, analysis and, utilising our unique Estimated Transfer Valuation (ETV), we provide accurate, data-driven transfer valuations for over 100,000 players in every league in the world, including the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and many more.
Our vision is to cut through the noise and the rumours and assess the true likelihood of transfers, how players may fit into their new club, and ruminate upon the wider market impact of the deals taking place.
In conjunction with our partner SciSports, we release new updates to our player valuation model at the beginning of each month to ensure we provide the most up-to-date information on player value available.
Our team of journalists are all experts in their respective fields, whether that be focused on a particular league, team or area of governance. We ensure that each story published has been properly verified and vetted by our team before anything is published to ensure the highest-quality content on a consistent basis.
Data and transfer values
FootballTransfers offer unique insight into the transfer market with its Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) algorithm. Rather than assessing players purely based on how good their play looks, we cut through the noise with a statistical measure of how well they are really doing. Working in conjunction with SciSports, our model is based on a wide variety of factors, including:
- hundreds of in-game statistics
- current and predicted skill level of the player
- contractual details
- age, position and competition level
Based on this, we publish ETVs of thousands of players worldwide and have the data to back our claims up.
Journalism and analysis
FootballTransfers offers the latest transfer news and analysis from across the world, backing this up with statistics and data. Our editorial team follows clubs, players and competitions daily to combine factual reporting with context and analysis.
We aim to provide insight into the transfer market and look at deals in a level that other organisations are unable to delve into. We do this by analysing each aspect of a transfer, from its potential logical to examining the likely impact of a deal on a club or a player.
Editorial method
FootballTransfers has an experienced editorial team with decades of experience in sports journalism analysis, and data production. Articles are written based on the latest available information, with the nature of football transfer journalism its quick-moving and very fluid nature.
Our mission
Our goal is to grow into a leading, multilingual source of information on football transfers. By combining data, journalism, and technology, FootballTransfers aims to contribute to more transparent and better-substantiated reporting on the transfer market.
