Corrections Policy

At FootballTransfers we strive to produce content to a high standard, with a rigorous editorial policy designed to prevent any errors being published. However, mistakes can occasionally be made and it is our goal to ensure these are corrected as rapidly as possible.

Transparency over errors and corrections is an essential part of responsible sports journalism.

Our approach to mistakes

When a mistake is made, we will correct it as quickly as possible. Errors fall into two categories: minor and major mistakes.

Minor corrections
A minor correction may be a typo or grammatical error, or a small factual adjustment that does not change the whole meaning of the piece.

Major corrections
When a mistake affects the interpretation of the content or changes the context of an article substantially, we will issue an update and leave a note at the bottom of the article that a change has taken place. In this, we will report what has changed and when the alteration took place.

This ensures readers have access to up-to-date and accurate information.

Article updates

The football transfer market is very fluid and updates can occur very quickly, meaning that articles must be updated in a timely manner when new information emerges.

When an article is updated, we add the relevant new information to the existing article and change any details that were previously published that may now be out of date. If required, a note will indicate when an article has been updated.

Reporting errors

Our editorial team strives to check information carefully, but also remains open to feedback and improvements. Every correction contributes to the quality and reliability of our reporting.
