New Sarr attempt
Liverpool are making another "push" to sign Crystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr, as per Sacha Tavolieri.
The Reds have still not given up on the Senegal international, despite Palace's stance that he is not for sale. One bid from Liverpool has already been rejected by the Eagles.
A fresh offer is expected to be made, though there is no guarantee of success. Al-Ittihad, who are looking for a Moussa Diaby replacement, are also keeping tabs on Sarr.
Arsenal eye Rashford
Arsenal are interested in Man Utd winger Marcus Rashford, TEAMtalk and The Independent claim.
The Gunners are looking for a replacement for Gabriel Martinelli and are keen to bring in at least one more attacker before next week's deadline. Julian Alvarez is the priority, Endrick has been explored and now Rashford has also emerged as an option.
However, it is unclear whether the England star would be open to the possibility of joining Arsenal, with reports earlier this summer having suggested that the versatile attacker had ruled out moving to one of Man Utd's Premier League rivals.
Paez loan cancelled
Chelsea have cut Kendry Paez's loan at River Plate short, Ben Jacobs has confirmed.
After failing to impress at Strasbourg, the Ecuador international also struggled in Argentina after joining on an 18-month loan in January. Since late spring, reports have suggested that Chelsea would likely terminate their deal with River.
The Blues had hoped to have a new loan destination for him lined up by now, but finding the right club has proved difficult. Trabzonspor reportedly pulled out of a deal a couple of weeks ago, while there has also been interest from the Championship.
Guiu set for RB Leipzig
Chelsea striker Marc Guiu is set to join RB Leipzig, Fabrizio Romano reports.
Despite strong links with Napoli in recent days, the Bundesliga side have managed to agree a deal with Chelsea after holding "secret talks." Guiu is likely viewed as a replacement for Conrad Harder, who is fielding interest from Leeds, Lazio and Galatasaray.
The Spaniard will leave Chelsea permanently, but the Blues will retain a sell-on clause. Guiu made 29 appearances after his €6m move from Barcelona in summer 2024.
Villa still interested in Mateta
Aston Villa are still chasing a deal for Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta, CaughtOffside writes.
Despite the signing of Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea, the Birmingham club are in the market for a striker as Tammy Abraham is facing an uncertain future amid interest from Ipswich.
Mateta remains on Villa's radar after they had a bid rejected by Palace earlier this summer. However, there is also said to be interest from Man Utd, Galatasaray and Tottenham.
