RB Leipzig are reportedly ready to sell Castello Lukeba during the 2026 summer transfer window amid significant interest from Arsenal.

The 23-year-old’s current contract with Ole Werner’s side isn’t due to expire until 2029, but they are willing to accept a sale as they look to maximise the potential fee they could earn via a blockbuster transfer.

Lukeba has racked up 97 first-team appearances for Leipzig since his arrival from Lyon in 2023 and he is set to become the latest starlet to earn a big-money move away from the Bundesliga outfit.

However, Leipzig are willing to offer a small discount to any interested clubs, such as Arsenal.

That is according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, who posted on X: “Castello Lukeba could leave RB Leipzig this summer after three years, with both sides open to a move. The club would accept around €65-70m, below his €80m release clause. 23 y/o Lukeba is keen on a new challenge, and his future now depends on incoming offers.”

Arsenal want to sign Castello Lukeba

Several elite teams have been linked with a move for the Frenchman in recent months, including Chelsea and Real Madrid, however Arsenal are widely considered to be his most likely next club.

The Gunners already boast an impressive defensive roster, but they are still keen to bolster the options available at the Emirates Stadium amid rumours that Ben White and Myles Lewis-Skelly could both be sold on permanent deals this summer.

Multiple reports have confirmed that Arsenal are interested in adding Lukeba to their first-team squad, with Mikel Arteta understood to be a huge admirer of the 23-year-old following his impressive stint at RB Leipzig.

He would be unlikely to displace Gabriel Magalhaes or William Saliba in Arteta’s favoured starting XI, but he would add vital depth alongside Cristhian Mosquera, who has caught the eye since his arrival from Valencia last summer.
