Man Utd Transfer News Today: HUGE offer made as Anderson hijack takes shape
All the latest Man Utd transfer news in one place, including updates on Elliot Anderson, Vinicius Jr and Aurelien Tchouameni.
Chelsea plot Anderson hijack
Chelsea are growing 'increasingly keen' on chasing a deal for Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson, who has been designated as a top target for Man Utd.
The England star has left the club hierarchies at both Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge mightily impressed. Both clubs have been watching his performances closely this term.
Anderson is not an obvious fit for Chelsea's midfield, so it has been suggested that the Blues could soften their stance on Real Madrid target Enzo Fernandez in a bid to fund a move for the Forest star.
Man Utd ready to launch Vinicius Jr offer
Man Utd are ready to launch a blockbuster bid for Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr, who is facing an uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu due to his antics on the pitch and substantial contract demands.
It is claimed that Man Utd could be prepared to pay as much as €200 million for the Brazilian megastar as they seek to bring in a player who could take them back to the elite level.
However, whether such an offer will materialise is highly doubtful given that Man Utd are understood to be cutting it close with Premier League financial regulations.
Gallagher reveals Atleti frustration
Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher has admitted that he is frustrated with his lack of playing time in Spain. The England star knows that he needs to play regularly to make Thomas Tuchel's World Cup squad.
In the summer, Man Utd explored a late-window move for Gallagher, and they remain interested in the former Chelsea man. Although not a top target, he is believed to be one of the most attainable players on their shortlist in January.
“No, no, of course not. I'm not satisfied," Gallagher said. “I don't think anyone is if they're not playing as much as they'd like, but I'll keep working very hard to help the team whenever I have the chance, and hopefully more opportunities to be a starter will come.”
Casemiro not keen on pay cut
Man Utd midfielder Casemiro is not prepared to accept the 'ridiculous' pay cut the Red Devils have told him to take if he wants to stay at the club beyond this season.
The Brazilian is out of contract at the end of the season. Man Utd have an option to extend his deal by a year, but they will not exercise it as they feel his current wage is way too high.
Man Utd are willing to keep him around on heavily reduced terms, but it seems that the veteran midfielder would rather depart in search of a new challenge than give up his hefty salary. Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni is being touted as a possible replacement.
Adeyemi pushing for Man Utd move
Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi is pushing to leave the Bundesliga side after growing frustrated with his current situation. Frequently substituted by coach Niko Kovac and locked in difficult contract talks, the Germany international is ready to leave.
His representative Jorge Mendes has been offering him to clubs around Europe, including Man Utd. The relation between the superagent and the Old Trafford club is strong.
Dortmund want to make life difficult for Adeyemi, but they will inevitably have to sell him in the summer at the latest to not run the risk of him running down his contract.
Man Utd battle Arsenal for wonderkid
Man Utd and Arsenal are among a host of clubs battling for the signature of Olympiacos youngster Christos Mouzakitis. The 18-year-old is currently valued by his club at around €30m.
A move to the Premier League is deemed the most likely scenario for the teenage midfielder, who already has several senior caps for his country to his name despite his youth.
Man Utd are looking to add several new midfielders to their side in 2026. If a hugely promising youngster like Mouzakitis could be had for a reasonable price, they could sign as many as three players for their engine room.
