Real Madrid reach agreement over €70m deal
Real Madrid have reportedly reached an agreement to sell Rodrygo if they receive a €70 million offer next summer.
The Brazil international has fallen down the pecking order since the appointment of Xabi Alonso this summer and he has been widely tipped to leave the Bernabeu in 2026 as Los Blancos look to raise funds via player sales.
Rodrygo hasn’t scored a goal for Real Madrid since netting in a 2-1 victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League back in March and the club are now willing to sanction a sale amid his underwhelming recent form.
The 24-year-old’s current contract with the Spanish giants isn’t due to expire until 2028, but they are prepared to offload him if they receive a €70m offer from any interested party.
That is according to Fichajes, who report that Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have all registered “concrete interest” in the Brazil star ahead of 2026.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with a move for Rodrygo in recent months, although it remains to be seen if they will target a deal next year amid his current form.
Real Madrid to sell Rodrygo?
Widespread reports have indicated that Real Madrid may sell Vinicius Junior or Rodrygo next summer, with rumours suggesting that both players could even be offloaded as they look to oversee a major attacking rebuild.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been earmarked as Florentino Perez’s dream target, despite the fact he still has eight-and-a-half years remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, while Galatasaray star Victor Osimhen has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu too.
In addition, Real Madrid are also looking to add a new winger and PSG’s Desire Doue has been identified as a potential new addition, according to multiple news outlets.
