The Gunners spent a whopping €293.5 million on new signings over the summer, but they have been tipped to dip back into the transfer market next year, with Mikel Arteta recently admitting that his side may be active during the upcoming January window.

The north London outfit are eager to sign Lille central midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, despite his decision to sign a new contract at his boyhood club, while they have also earmarked the left winger position as an area in need of improvement.

Arteta already has Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli, Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze as options on the opposite flank to Bukayo Saka, but they have been linked with a number of top players ahead of 2026, including the likes of Antoine Semenyo, Rafael Leao and Rodrygo.

Bradley Barcola to Arsenal?

Barcola has also been on the Gunners’ transfer radar for a while and they have now rekindled their interest in his signature after deciding against pursuing a €100m deal this summer.

That is according to French outlet Le10 Sport, who claim that Arsenal have made a “strong move” for the Frenchman in a bid to entice him to complete an Emirates Stadium switch in 2026.

Liverpool are also a “very active candidate” in the race to sign the 23-year-old, while PSG are eager to tie him down to a new contract at the Parc des Princes.

Barcola’s current deal with the reigning Ligue 1 champions is due to expire in 2028 and Luis Enrique’s side have already submitted an initial contract extension offer that includes a “significant salary increase”, as per Le10 Sport.

However, the France international is yet to accept PSG’s proposal and it’s reported that he is not quite satisfied with his current situation with the Parisians.

Barcola, who was dubbed ‘the next Kylian Mbappe’ following his move from Lyon to PSG in 2024, has scored five goals and provided three assists in 18 appearances across all competitions so far this season.
