Arsenal reach agreement over deal for €60m star
Arsenal officials have reportedly agreed to sanction the sale of Ben White during the upcoming summer transfer window as they look to freshen up their defensive roster.
White, 28, was an integral player during the first few years of his career at the Emirates Stadium, but he has fallen behind Jurrien Timber in the right-back pecking order this season and he has only started five Premier League matches in 2025-26.
The England defender, who hasn’t played for his country since 2022, has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs in recent months, including Everton, and Arsenal are now ready to offload him on a permanent deal, as per TEAMtalk.
White joined Mikel Arteta’s side for a fee just shy of €60 million from Brighton & Hove Albion, but his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) has dropped to €42m and with only two years remaining on his current deal, Arsenal are willing to accept a sale when the summer window opens.
He is regarded as one of several stars who could depart the Emirates Stadium this summer, with the futures of Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Myles Lewis-Skelly also not guaranteed as Arsenal look to raise funds through player sales.
Arsenal chase new right-back
As exclusively revealed by FootballTransfers, Arsenal have identified Newcastle United defender Valentino Livramento as their top full-back target ahead of this summer, although Manchester City are also understood to be eyeing a potential move.
The Gunners have been linked with Vanderson (AS Monaco) and Nnamdi Collins (Eintracht Frankfurt) in recent weeks too, while they have now added AS Roma star Wesley Franca to their list of targets, according to TEAMtalk.
Arsenal have reportedly been impressed by his “athleticism, attacking output and defensive maturity,” but he is also wanted by the likes of Manchester City, Newcastle United, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.
Wesley has made 35 appearances since his arrival at Roma last summer, scoring four goals and providing two assists, and his ETV currently stands at €28.5m.
