Chelsea in Camavinga race

Chelsea and Liverpool are interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga this summer, according to CaughtOffside.

It comes after transfer insider Matteo Moretto revealed that the Frenchman has Premier League suitors and that Los Blancos will listen to offers over €50 million after this season.

Both Chelsea and Liverpool have established contact with the 23-year-old's camp. Currently, the Reds have been more tenacious in discussions, but it is believed to be an open race for Camavinga.

Rosenior responds to Fernandez rumours

Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has emphatically responded to suggestions that Enzo Fernandez could be on the move this summer.

The Argentina international is reportedly keen to change clubs this summer after growing frustrated with Chelsea's lack of competitiveness in the Champions League and Premier League. He is open to a move to Spain, where Real Madrid have been linked.

However, Rosenior insists that neither Fernandez nor any other Chelsea player has indicated that he wants out in the summer. "I have a very, very close relationship with Enzo, Rosenior said.

"There's not one player at this club since I've been here that has said he doesn't want to be here in the summer."

Chelsea interested in another Araujo

Chelsea have been linked with Benfica defender Tomas Araujo over the past two years, but they are also interested in Sporting CP star Maxi Araujo, according to Record.

The Uruguay international is attracting widespread attention around Europe, with Chelsea among the clubs that are "crazy" about him. The 26-year-old can play as a full-back and winger.

Chelsea and many other suitors have watched Araujo in person this season, but it is too early to say whether the interest will turn into a concrete approach for his services. Sporting want to hand him a new contract, and his €80m release clause could prove prohibitive to a transfer.

Chelsea to partner with River Plate?

Chelsea and River Plate are close to reaching a mutually beneficial partnership agreement, TyC Sports reports.

Discussions first took place when Chelsea agreed to send Kendry Paez on loan to the Argentine giants in January, following a disappointing spell at BlueCo sister club Strasbourg.

As part of the proposed agreement, Chelsea would receive the right to match any offers that come in for River players, while the Buenos Aires side would receive priority on players made available for loan by the Blues.

River previously explored a similar agreement with Real Madrid, but nothing came of it. Chelsea's involvement with a South American and, specifically, Argentine club should come as no surprise.

The Blues have heavily recruited directly from South America since the takeover in 2022, and Argentina's opinion-dividing president Javier Milei claimed in late 2023 that Chelsea had shown an interest in "investing in Argentina" when he tried to privatise the country's non-profit clubs.
