Chelsea plot €75m offer as Maresca targets Real Madrid transfer agreement
Chelsea are ready to step up their pursuit of Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga by submitting a €75 million offer next summer, according to reports in Spain.
The France international has been on the Blues’ transfer radar for several years and they have reignited their interest in his signature following his performance during Real Madrid’s victory over Barcelona in El Clasico on Sunday.
That is according to Spanish publication Defensa Central, who claim that Chelsea are prepared to lodge an offer worth between €70-75m for the 22-year-old in 2026.
Camavinga has only started two matches across all competitions so far this season and it’s understood that Chelsea are keen to take advantage of his current status at the Santiago Bernabeu by finalising a transfer next summer.
The Blues already have a plethora of midfielders available to Enzo Maresca, including Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Romeo Lavia and Andrey Santos, however they are still eager to bring Camavinga to the club amid their search for additional reinforcements.
However, the Frenchman still has over three-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract at Real Madrid, and Defensa Central state that he intends to remain with Xabi Alonso’s side, rather than push to complete a blockbuster move to Chelsea.
Eduardo Camavinga likely to stay at Real Madrid
In addition to Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have been linked with a move for Camavinga in recent months too, amid speculation over his long-term future at the Santiago Bernabeu, however it appears as though he will snub interest from the Premier League in order to remain at Real Madrid.
Chelsea have also been tipped to pursue a deal for Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson in recent weeks, although it has been reported that he could cost as much as €137m next year as Sean Dyche’s side seek to retain his services.
Meanwhile, the Blues are expected to keep Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez at the club for the foreseeable future, despite rumoured interest from Real Madrid.
