Endrick set for January loan – Lyon lead the way

Romano provided an exclusive update on the future of Real Madrid sensation Endrick, who is set to leave the club imminently.

Speaking to his YouTube channel, he said: “Endrick is planning to leave Real Madrid on loan in the January transfer window. It will be a straight six-month loan, with no option to buy and no obligation clause.

“He has made it clear he doesn’t want to leave permanently. He believes in his long-term future at Real Madrid but wants to play and develop, especially with the World Cup coming soon. So far this season, he hasn’t played a single minute under Xabi Alonso, and he needs regular game time to stay sharp.

“Lyon have now started official talks with Endrik’s camp over a loan deal. Negotiations are ongoing, and Lyon want the player ready to join from 1 January, training with the squad immediately.

“Endrick is open to joining Lyon but will take some time to decide. Other clubs are also interested, but Lyon’s project is tempting – they can offer consistent minutes, top-level competition, and a good environment for a young forward to grow.

“It also helps that Endrik has always been a huge fan of Karim Benzema, who, of course, played for both Lyon and Real Madrid. Lyon’s link to Benzema is part of what makes this opportunity special.

“Keep an eye on Endrik to Lyon – talks are moving, and this could develop quickly.”

Barcelona scouting Osimhen for 2026 move

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has been linked with a sensational move to Barcelona to replace Robert Lewandowski.

“There have been rumours from Turkey and Spain suggesting that Barcelona are considering Osimhen as one of their striker targets for summer 2026,” Romano said.

“It’s true that Barcelona are studying the market for future strikers. Robert Lewandowski’s contract situation is key here – he’s expected to leave when his deal expires, so Barca are planning ahead.

“However, what I can tell you is that Osimhen is not negotiating with any club right now. Barcelona are simply monitoring several players, gathering information, and preparing for future moves. This is standard practice, not active negotiation.

“Osimhen is currently fully focused on Galatasaray, where he’s doing very well. There’s also a clause in his deal that prevents him from joining any Italian club for the next two years – a condition included by Napoli when they sold him.

“That clause doesn’t apply outside Italy, so other clubs can make inquiries, but right now, nothing is happening. Barcelona are just studying the striker market for 2026.”

Man Utd stand firm on Kobbie Mainoo despite Napoli and West Ham interest

Romano provided an update on the situation of Kobbie Mainoo at Manchester United – and says it could be a potentially awkward situation for the young midfielder.

“With the January transfer window approaching, another player to watch is Kobbie Mainoo.

Mainoo, who along with Joshua Zirkzee, wants more game time, but Manchester United are not planning to let them leave,” Romano confirmed.

“Manager Ruben Amorim insists on keeping both players for the second half of the season, as United face a busy schedule around Christmas and beyond.

“Napoli remain interested in Mainoo, especially after missing out on a creative midfielder following Kevin De Bruyne’s injury last summer. West Ham have also made calls to explore loan options for both Mainoo and Zirkzee, aiming to offer them consistent minutes.

“However, as of now, United are not opening negotiations. Amorim wants them to stay and contribute through the remainder of the campaign.”

PSG salary revolution

Romano also detailed how PSG have managed to slash their wage bill and be successful in recent months.

“PSG have revealed their latest financial results, and the numbers are impressive. Under sporting director Luis Campos, the club has reduced its salary-to-revenue ratio from 111% down to 65% – a huge shift that shows the success of their new wage structure,” he said.

“The system is simple: the more you play, the more you earn. Performance-based pay is now the model at PSG, and it will remain in place for upcoming transfer windows in 2026 and beyond. Campos and his team are focused on building a young, competitive squad. The club’s average age is just 23.7 years, and they’re extending key contracts, such as William Pacho, whose new five-year deal will be signed before the end of the year.

“This model – rewarding playing time and performance – is helping PSG build one of the most sustainable and exciting projects in European football.”

Luciano Spalletti named Juventus head coach

Finally, Juventus have a new head coach.

Romano confirmed: “Big news from Italy as Juventus have appointed Luciano Spalletti as their new head coach. The former Napoli and Italy manager is set to sign his contract very soon after Juventus decided to part ways with Igor Tudor.

“Spalletti, who led Napoli to their incredible Serie A title, is now ready for a new chapter in Turin. It’s a massive move for both Spalletti and Juventus as they look to rebuild after a difficult spell.”
