TRANSFER RUMOURS: Ronaldo wants Bruno in Saudi, Liverpool move confirmed, Chelsea in €100m bid
The transfer window may be over, but teams are already planning for January. Here are some of the biggest rumours from the last week.
Ronaldo wants Bruno Fernandes in the Saudi Pro League
Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo is pushing for current Red Devils Bruno Fernandes to join him in the Saudi Pro League. Even if his compatriot is not interested in moving to Al-Nassr with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, he could move to another club in the big-spending division.
Bruno has regularly been linked with a move to Saudi over the course of the last 18 months, even going so far as to say that he was open to a move in the summer… if Man Utd no longer wanted him.
Arne Slot confirms Marc Guehi move
This is less of a transfer rumour and more confirmation of what we already know. Liverpool boss Arne Slot has said that the Reds chased Crystal Palace centre-back Guehi in the summer.
Crucially, the Dutchman explained that the Anfield club are still very much open to moving for the England international again. He refused to say whether that will be in January or in summer 2026, when Guehi is likely to be a free agent, but it still looks likely that the 25-year-old will wind up at Anfield.
Chelsea line up €100m deal for Cole Palmer’s best friend
Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers has become Chelsea’s leading transfer target after the Stamford Bridge missed out on Xavi Simons in the summer.
In the short term, the Blues have moved for Facundo Buonanotte, but they see Rogers as the long-term solution and are willing to splash out an enormous €100m on the player.
Chelsea hope Cole Palmer’s influence might be telling. The pair played together in the Manchester City academy and still speak regularly.
Was Mudryk doped by a cow?
Chelsea attacker Mykhailo Mudryk is presently sidelined after failing a doping test while on international duty with Ukraine – and it has been revealed that the cause of his woes may have come from a cow.
Reports from his homeland have revealed that a stem cell injection may have caused the winger to test positive for meldonium.
Mudryk is presently waiting the results of a ‘B’ sample, which will have an enormous bearing on his future.
