Man Utd’s goalkeeper chase

Manchester United are eager to sign a replacement for Andre Onana and Romano has confirmed that a deal is close during his latest YouTube video.

“Manchester United are working on a deal to sign Emiliano Martinez as new goalkeeper,” Romano said. “The two goalkeepers on Man Utd’s list have always been Senne Lammens and Martinez.

“This morning, Man Utd started club-to-club negotiations with Aston Villa for Martinez. Why? Because they've gone big for Lammens. They submitted a new proposal but there’s still no agreement with Royal Antwerp, who want a guaranteed fee of at least €25m.

“Man Utd started at €17m, plus €2m, plus €3m, but there’s still no agreement on the transfer fee. So Man Utd may go big for Martinez.

“Martinez wants to go to Man Utd. He has agreed personal terms with Man Utd and he has told Aston Villa about this.

“Martinez is a big topic for Man Utd and the player is desperate to go. He wants to have this opportunity and he believes that at this age it’s a big chance for him to go to Man Utd even without European football.

Romano added: “Remember that Aston Villa and Man Utd have also discussed Jadon Sancho.

“Sancho is still at Man Utd and he needs to find a solution. Aston Villa asked about the situation of Sancho in January and they are now discussing a move. Sancho could be the new Marcus Rashford for Aston Villa.

“If Martinez goes to Manchester United, Aston Villa can go for Lammens - the goalkeeper wanted by Man Utd for the last three or four weeks.

“Villa have made contact in the last 24 hours for two goalkeepers in case Martinez leaves. One is Diogo Costa at Porto, who is very expensive, and the other one is Lammens.

Ederson to Fenerbahce?

Meanwhile, Ederson is edging closer to a Manchester City exit, with Gianluigi Donnarumma set to replace him at the Etihad Stadium.

“The bomb from last night was about the situation of Ederson because I told you that Ederson’s negotiations with Fenerbahce are ongoing. Jorge Mendes, the agent of Ederson is, driving the conversation and Fenerbahce are working on a deal for Ederson.

“A €12m bid was rejected by Man City, but I can tell you that Fenerbahce are presenting a new proposal as they attack to close the deal for Ederson.

Ederson to Fenerbahce is getting concrete and if he leaves, Gianluigi Donnarumma will join Man City. Man City are already planning for the medical of Donnarumma as they want to be ready because there is not much time left.

“In my opinion, Donnarumma to Man City has a very good chance of happening and it has a 100% chance of happening if Ederson goes to Fenerbahce.

“The domino of this will be crazy. For example, we know that Galatasaray are looking for a goalkeeper. They tried for Ederson, they were thinking of Lammens, but it wasn’t anything advanced.

“With Martinez coming, maybe Man Utd could release Altay Bayindir or Andre Onana.”

Fermin Lopez to join Chelsea?

Chelsea are expected to be very active on Transfer Deadline Day and Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez remains one of their top priorities.

“Barcelona play today and this is why there is still no breakthrough on Fermin Lopez to Chelsea. I remind you that Barcelona insist on their position: Barcelona don't want to sell Fermin Lopez,” Romano confirmed.

“Barcelona believe that €40m is not going to be enough to sell Fermin as they want to keep the player. The only way for Fermin to leave on Deadline Day is for him to go public and say, ‘I want to go.’

“It’s Fermin who has to decide whether to stay at Barcelona and fight for his place, or try a new experience in England with Chelsea. The Fermin Lopez story is going to enter into important stages in the next hours.”

Nicolas Jackson to leave Chelsea?

Meanwhile, Nicolas Jackson remains locked at war with Chelsea as he looks to complete a Deadline Day transfer to Bayern Munich. However, the Blues now want to keep him after Liam Delap’s hamstring injury.

“The Nicolas Jackson case can change any moment,” Romano revealed. “What I can tell you is that Jackson is still in Munich and he is still hoping to stay at Bayern.

“They are trying to see if they can find a solution, but the deal is currently on hold. For Chelsea, the only way for this deal to happen is to find another solution and find another striker.

“Chelsea are saying: ‘If you believe in Jackson, show that you believe in the player and maybe buy him or let's include an obligation. Let's change the deal for Jackson.’

“If Jackson ends up at Bayern, Chelsea will look at different solutions. They will get a new striker.

“Otherwise, Jackson will have to return because nothing is signed. Chelsea are in total control.”
