Man Utd Transfer News Today: Sesko KEEN as €60m priority revealed
All the latest Man Utd transfer news in one place, including updates on Benjamin Sesko, Andre Onana and Diogo Costa.
Sesko impressed by Man Utd
RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko has been left impressed by Man Utd's efforts to sign him after the Red Devils stepped up their pursuit of the 22-year-old.
Man Utd have presented a detailed sporting and financial proposal to the player, but formal talks with Leipzig have not yet taken place as the Old Trafford club are currently unable to afford Sesko.
Meanwhile, Newcastle are pushing hard to convince the player to join. The Magpies are ready to match Leipzig's financial demands but need the green light from Sesko first.
Man Utd want new goalkeeper
Signing a new goalkeeper has become a priority for Man Utd, who were initially unsure if they wanted to spend a part of their limited budget on a new shot-stopper.
However, it has now been decided that a new man between the sticks is needed, which has once again cast doubt on Andre Onana's future at Old Trafford.
Gianluigi Donnarumma and Diogo Costa are two names now associated with the Red Devils, but the latter could cost as much as €60m.
Shaw unlikely to leave Man Utd
Long-serving Man Utd left-back Luke Shaw appears to be unlikely to leave the club this summer after receiving a massive vote of confidence from Ruben Amorim.
There had been questions over Shaw's future at the club earlier this summer, and even more recently, reports had claimed that the England international was unsure of his place in the squad.
However, Amorim has now seemingly put those doubts to bed by describing the 30-year-old as 'world-class' and a 'great player' who he is 'pleased' to have at his disposal.
