The summer transfer window is now in full swing and we have all the latest transfer news for you today (16 July 2023).

Man Utd have edged closer to completing a deal for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, Chelsea's summer overhaul has continued with Christian Pulisic's departure to AC Milan, and Liverpool's Fabinho could be the latest Premier League star to move to the Saudi Pro League.

Arsenal Transfer News

* Arsenal’s recruitment team are keeping an eye on Santos striker Marcos Leonardo, who some are calling ‘the next Neymar.’ We are told that the Gunners, who already have a number of Brazilians at the club who they plucked from South America, have had scouts out watching the 20-year-old (FootballTransfers).

* Besiktas have submitted a €2.5 million offer for Arsenal defender Rob Holding, but the bid is set to be rejected by the Gunners (The Athletic).

Man Utd Transfer News

* At last, it is 'here we go' for Man Utd and Andre Onana according to Fabrizio Romano. He says the two clubs have agreed a 52.5m fee and that Onana will sign a five-year deal to replace David de Gea at Old Trafford (Fabrizio Romano).

* Erik ten Hag is set for a huge boost with the Glazer family reportedly set to back his summer transfer plans. The Dutch coach has been working to a tight budget so far, but with the takeover saga dragging on the current owners have apparently realised they need to protect their asset. That means ensuring the squad is strengthened, and backing ten Hag with the budget he wants (The Mirror).

* Manchester United have offered players in part-exchange for Rasmus Hojlund during talks with Atalanta - but the Italian club are insisting on a cash payment (The Athletic).

* West Ham remain interested in signing Man Utd midfielder Scott McTominay in a swoop which also impacts any move by Erik ten Hag to sign Fiorentina's Moroccan midfield star Sofyan Amrabat. West Ham won't move for McTominay until Declan Rice completes his move to Arsenal, and United won't go for Amrabat until they have the cash for McTominay. Complicated (The Independent).

* Turkish giants Galatasaray want to sign Brazilian midfielder Fred from Man Utd. Premier League clubs - notably Fulham - remain interested though as well as the Saudi Pro League (Fabrizio Romano).

* Everton are looking at Leeds' Wilfred Gnonto and Jack Harrison, but it’s a deal for Manchester United’s Anthony Elanga that is nearing and there is confidence that it will be concluded soon (FootballTransfers).

* Former Man Utd star Ashley Young has completed a move from Aston Villa to Everton (Everton).

* Ex-Man Utd loanee Wout Weghorst is wanted by Bayer Leverkusen as his future at Burnley remains unclear.

* Barcelona are interested in re-signing Man Utd youngster Marc Jurado. The defender left Barcelona in 2020, but could return to the club this summer. (Que t’hi jugues, via Sport).

Chelsea Transfer News

* The departure of Romelu Lukaku has moved a big step closer, but not in the direction most people expected. Inter have always appeared to be favourites to sign the Belgian permanently, but now Juventus are very much in the mix. Reports from Italy suggest the Bianconeri have agreed a €37.5m fee with Chelsea and an €11m annual salary with the player. The deal though hinges on Juve first being able to offload Dusan Vlahovic to PSG (Tuttosport).

* Chelsea have lined up a move to acquire Neymar IF the Brazilian superstar leaves PSG this summer. The Blues are now waiting to find out whether the French club are ready to move on their £222m signing (Le Parisien).

* Christian Pulisic has officially completed his move from Chelsea to AC Milan for an initial fee of €20m. There is a further €2m in potential add-ons (AC Milan).

* Frank Lampard wanted to sign Declan Rice during his first spell as Chelsea manager and believed he would become the club's captain for the next decade. Rice is instead set to join Arsenal in a €123m move. (Steven Bartlett).

* Inter have submitted second bid worth €30m to sign Romelu Lukaku (Fabrizio Romano).

* Lyon are determined to keep hold of Rayan Cherki amid Chelsea interest (The Guardian).

Liverpool Transfer News

* Moises Caicedo is open to all offers despite the constant links with a move to Chelsea - and we can confirm that Liverpool remain interested in the Brighton midfielder. Chelsea remain favourites to land the Ecuadorian ace but do not count out the Reds - particularly with the potential departures of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson. (FootballTransfers Exclusive).

* Al-Ittihad are lining up a shock bid for Liverpool star Fabinho, hot on the heels of Al-Ettifaq's "life-changing" offer for fellow Reds midfielder Jordan Henderson (The Athletic).

* Bayern Munich are keen to sell Sadio Mane to Saudi Arabian suitors just one year on from his sensational €41 million transfer from Liverpool. (Kicker).

* Liverpool defender Sepp van de Berg has joined Bundesliga side Mainz 05 on a season-long loan deal (Mainz 05).

Man City Transfer News

Man City have their sights set on Frenkie de Jong and are considering a move that will make use of Barcelona’s interest in Bernardo Silva by offering a swap deal. We are told there is a potential swap deal involving the midfielders, with the Citizens valuing their 28-year-old at around £70million (FootballTransfers Exclusive)

Newcastle Utd Transfer News

* Huge news coming out of Italy with Newcastle reportedly bidding a massive €90m for Napoli attacker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The Georgian is fresh off helping Napoli win Serie A and the newly-crowned champions have already lost star defender Kim Min-jae to Bayern Munich. Meanwhile striker Victor Osimhen is a target for some of Europe's biggest clubs. According to reports, Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has refused Newcastle's offer, for now (Il Mattino).

* Newcastle United target Moussa Diaby is wanted by Aston Villa, with Unai Emery's side seeing a €35m plus add-ons bid rejected by Bayer Leverkusen. The player has informed Leverkusen he wants to join Villa this summer (Fabrizio Romano).

* Eddie Howe's side were previously linked with Diaby, although Villa now seem to be front-runners. Leverkusen want €60m for the Frenchman (Florian Plettenberg).

Tottenham Transfer News

* Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen met Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy over breakfast in London on Thursday to discuss Harry Kane. (Christian Falk).

* No fresh offer was made for Kane and no asking price was provided at the meeting, but the clubs are on good terms. Kane will travel with Tottenham for the start of their pre-season tour in Australia on Friday (The Athletic).

Barcelona Transfer News

* Man City star Bernardo Silva is again an option for Barca as they look for further reinforcements this summer. He expects the Spanish giants to move for him but wants a deal done swiftly as he has other options - notably PSG or the Saudi Pro League (Mundo Deportivo).

* Barcelona are considering a loan move for Man City full-back Joao Cancelo (Mundo Deportivo).

* Barcelona have been told to target the next Brazilian wonderkid after finally landing Vitor Roque. Estevao Willian Almeida , a 16-year-old boy playing for Palmeiras, is known as 'Messinho' for his similarity to the Argentine icon (AS).

* Oriol Romeu's move to Barcelona is expected to be completed soon after a full agreement was reached with Girona. He will become the club's fourth summer signing (Sport).

* Barcelona are interested in re-signing Manchester United youngster Marc Jurado. The defender left Barcelona in 2020, but could return to the club this summer. (Que t’hi jugues, via Sport).

* Barcelona have reached a full agreement with Lamine Yamal to sign a new long-term contract until June 2026 (Fabrizio Romano).

* Barcelona target Pablo Maffeo is on the verge of joining Sevilla. The deal will see Rafa Mir, Oscar Rodriguez and Juanlu Sanchez go in the opposite direction to Mallorca (Sport).

* Juventus are weighing up a move for Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba, who could leave the club this summer (Mundo Deportivo).

Real Madrid Transfer News

Real Madrid continue to make progress towards a deal to secure Kylian Mbappe from PSG, with the Bernabeu club having already drawn up an astonishing contract for the France superstar. Madrid have readied a six-year contract for the player that will be worth €30 million per year. Although this is significantly less than he is paid at PSG, he will also receive a €20m transfer bonus per season, plus an estimated €90m advertising revenue per season. Multiplied over the duration of his six-year stay, that is worth an eye-watering €840m (Defensa Central).

* Former Real Madrid coach Vicente del Bosque believes that Los Blancos have an obligation to sign Kylian Mbappe (Diario AS).

* Real Betis are currently leading the race to sign Real Madrid youngster Rafa Marin as they look to replace Edgar Gonzalez, who recently joined Almeria. Villarreal are also interested in signing Marin (Diario AS).

Juventus Transfer News

* Leonardo Bonucci has been frozen out of the Juventus first-team with immediate effect. New sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has informed the Italian that he will not be registered as a Juve player and will not be able to train with the squad (Gazzetta dello Sport).

* Weston McKennie, Denis Zakaria and Arthur Melo have also been told they aren't part of the club's plans and will not play for Juventus again (Fabrizio Romano). Arthur has emerged as a target for Fiorentina, who are interested in signing him this summer (Fabrizio Romano).

* Aston Villa are already making waves this summer after the capture of Pau Torres from Villarreal. And their next target is AC Milan's attacking star Charles De Ketelaere. He appears to be available just a year after the Rossoneri acquired him from Bruges (Gazzetta dello Sport).

* After all that celebration and partying in Las Vegas, it's back to work for the club owned by Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The National League champions have made their first major signing of the summer - defender Will Boyle from Huddersfield Town.
