Transfer Rumours: Arsenal make audacious Kvaratskhelia move as €116m Chelsea deal implodes
FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours from 26 March, including the latest updates on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Enzo Fernandez and Julian Alvarez.
Arsenal target Kvaratskhelia
Arsenal are concretely interested in signing PSG winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this summer, The Independent has confirmed.
The Georgia international is viewed as the perfect reinforcement to elevate the Gunners' attack and to provide a splash of creativity and real quality. However, PSG insist that he is "near-unsellable."
He is a "jewel" in the Ligue 1 giants' project, and it would take a monumental fee to prise him away from the French capital, even if the player's camp is said to be open to the idea of joining Arsenal.
Fernandez not for sale
Chelsea insist that Enzo Fernandez is not for sale this summer, Sky Sports reports.
The Argentina international caused a stir when he cast doubt on his Chelsea future after the club's Champions League humiliation by PSG, and it is thought that he dreams of joining Real Madrid after this season.
However, Chelsea consider Fernandez virtually untouchable and are adamant that any deal would require a fee in excess of €116m (£100m). He is still under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2032.
Barcelona's Alvarez budget
Barcelona are unlikely to be willing to pay more than €70m for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez, Sport asserts.
The Catalans have a budget of around €130m this summer, which is to be split on a striker and a centre-back. €60m is allocated for the arrival of a world-class defender like Inter star Alessandro Bastoni.
Atleti, though, value Alvarez at well over €80m, making a deal complicated for Barcelona. As a result, Man City striker Omar Marmoush has been earmarked as a potential alternative.
Davies offered to Premier League
Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies is being offered to Premier League clubs, as per TEAMtalk.
Rumoured interest from Man Utd was reported last week, and it is now being claimed that Davies has been offered to the Red Devils as well as to Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.
The clubs have been told that Davies could be signed under the right conditions, but Bayern are not actively pushing him out. On the contrary, it would likely require a significant fee to sign the Canadian.
Greenwood move inevitable
Mason Greenwood is increasingly likely to leave Olympique de Marseille this summer, La Provence claims.
The disgraced former Man Utd forward has been a successful signing for OM, but the departure of Roberto de Zerbi means that Greenwood is likely to be sold this summer.
Marseille are hoping for a new club-record sale, meaning that Greenwood is expected to command a fee north of €40m. Man Utd would be owed a substantial portion of Marseille's profit.
