Arsenal Transfer News Today: Gunners eye shock 'priority target' after Havertz opens up over future
All the latest Arsenal transfer news in one place, including updates on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Enzo Le Fee and Myles Lewis-Skelly.
’Concrete interest’ in Kvaratskhelia
Arsenal are concretely interested in signing PSG winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this summer, The Independent has confirmed.
The Georgia international is viewed as the perfect reinforcement to elevate the Gunners' attack and to provide a splash of creativity and real quality. However, PSG insist that he is "near-unsellable."
He is a "jewel" in the Ligue 1 giants' project, and it would take a monumental fee to prise him away from the French capital, even if the player's camp is said to be open to the idea of joining Arsenal.
Le Fee emerges as ‘priority target’
That is according to Spanish publication Fichajes, who claim that Arteta views the former Lorient star as an ideal candidate to bolster his midfield ranks ahead of next season.
It’s reported that a fee of €50m may be required to tempt Sunderland into a sale during the upcoming summer window, but he is regarded as one of Arsenal’s top transfer targets as they look to build on an extremely impressive 2025-26 campaign.
White set for Arsenal departure
Ben White has attracted the interest of a number of Premier League sides as the Arsenal defender looks set to leave the Emirates this summer.
The England defender, who was recalled to the Three Lions squad for the March international break, has just two years remaining on his current contract at the Emirates Stadium and has been on the fringes of the first team this season.
It has been reported that Arsenal will be required to sanction a number of player sales in order to fund their transfer business this summer, and White is one of the stars who could be offloaded.
Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement to sell White if they receive a suitable offer this summer and TEAMtalk have confirmed that Everton and Manchester City are both interested in finalising a deal for the defender.
In addition, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd are also said to be monitoring developments ahead of a potential swoop following the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign.
Lewis-Skelly wanted by Man Utd
Lewis-Skelly was nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award last season but the 19-year-old has only made one Premier League start in this campaign, prompting doubts over his future.
Arsenal are believed to be open to Lewis-Skelly spending next season out on loan but they have previously resisted interest to sell the teenager permanently, having tied their homegrown talent to a five-year contract last summer.
However, much will depend on Lewis-Skelly’s desire to leave, with the youngster being told by Thomas Tuchel that he needs more game time to get back into England contention ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Arsenal are aware that they will need to raise funds through sales in order to sign costly targets such as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Lewis-Skelly’s status as an academy graduate could prove a tempting sale to generate pure profit.
Havertz denies Arsenal exit talk
Kai Havertz has brushed off speculation linking him with a summer departure for Arsenal and insists he has no plans to leave the club.
“No, to be honest, I haven’t heard anything about that, and I haven’t read anything about it either,” Havertz said. “I feel right at home at Arsenal, I feel everyone there is also very, very happy with me.
“Sure, it wasn’t a very easy season, but I definitely see my future at Arsenal, in London.
“Personally, I know I was out for the first six months of the season, so I am going to give my all for the club over the last two or three months now in the hope of heading to the World Cup with a great deal of confidence.”
