The agent of USMNT star Timo Weah has hit out at Serie A club Juventus for standing in the way of his client’s desire to move to Marseille.

A product of the PSG youth academy, Weah wants to join Adrien Rabiot at Stade Velodrome in making the controversial move to the Champions League winners’ great rivals.

Talks between the clubs have stalled, though, and Badou Sambague, the agent of the 25-year-old, is pointing the finger firmly in the direction of Juventus.

“The sporting department is managed by three people. Two have class, and the other is still trying to find it. We won’t hold that against him. Two are looking for solutions, and one is creating problems. And we can't let that slide,” he told RMC (via FootMercato).

“This person botched his World Cup and tried to force Weah to go somewhere he didn’t want to.

“Today, out of revenge, he’s asking for a fortune and waiting for a Premier League offer that won’t come and that we’ll never approve.

“I’m not used to speaking publicly, but staying silent today would be accepting the unacceptable and a total lack of respect. You can't buy class as a manager, but it’s always been part of Juventus’ history. One person is undermining that. Let’s see…”

Juventus speak out on Weah: You can’t just choose a team!

Juventus director general Damien Comolli has already spoken out against a deal.

“He wants to go to Marseille but in football you can’t just choose a team,” he told Italian media. “If the right offer doesn’t come, you’re left on the sidelines. And there’s been no offer yet.”

The Turin giants are set for a busy conclusion to the transfer window, with doubts still lingering over the future of Dusan Vlahovic and Douglas Luiz, who is pushing for a move back to the Premier League after a poor season in Serie A.

These problems, combined with the ongoing Weah drama, leave Juventus with their hands full as the start of the Serie A season approaches.
