Arsenal are interested in signing Corinthians midfielder Breno Bidon next year and they will reportedly ask Bruno Guimaraes to help them finalise a deal for the Brazil international.

Bidon, who received his first senior international call-up by Carlo Ancelotti last month, has been on Arsenal’s radar for the best part of a year and it’s understood that he is among their top transfer targets for 2027.

The 21-year-old has been a standout performer for Corinthians since breaking into the senior squad in 2024, and he is being closely tracked by Arsenal and Juventus, as per a report from Brazilian outlet Bolavip.

Both clubs are considering a formal approach next year and it’s understood that Mikel Arteta’s side are weighing up a bid in excess of €25 million in order to convince Corinthians to open negotiations.

Bolavip claim that Corinthians will find it difficult to refuse an offer of that value due to their need to raise transfer funds through sales, and Arsenal will reportedly rely on help from the aforementioned Guimaraes to secure a deal with Bidon.

The pair both featured during Brazil’s 4-2 over Australia last week and Bidon is likely to listen to the Arsenal’s man advice if his recent comments are anything to go by.

Breno Bidon confirms Bruno Guimaraes admiration

When asked about the players he looks up to while on international duty with Brazil last week, Bidon admitted: “From the current generation, Bruno Guimaraes is someone I follow a lot.

“He had a very good World Cup and managed to stand out. He is someone who has already experienced a lot in football. He started young in Brazil, and he’s someone I really look up to.

“From what I’ve seen while being around him, he has a very good and winning mentality. And on the pitch, I don’t even need to say anything. He’s been playing really well.”

Guimaraes could therefore play a pivotal role in Arsenal’s pursuit of Bidon and he may be able to convince the Corinthians youngster to secure an Emirates Stadium switch next year.
