Man Utd Transfer News Today: Sancho could STAY as Amorim sweats on Bruno Fernandes decision

All the latest Man Utd transfer news in one place, including updates on Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho and Ollie Watkins.
OFFICIAL: Man Utd confirm Cunha deal
Manchester United have announced the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves after agreeing to pay his £62.5 million (€74m) release clause.
Cunha becomes Ruben Amorim’s first signing of the summer, with the Brazilian set to feature on the left side of the attack next season, having netted 27 goals and 13 assists in the last two Premier League seasons.

United confirmed that Cunha’s deal would be formalised subject to visa and registration after the 25-year-old penned a long-term contract.
Man Utd waiting on Bruno Fernandes offer
Man Utd have yet to receive a formal offer from Al-Hilal for Bruno Fernandes, according to Sky Sports.
The Saudi Pro League side held talks with Fernandes’ representatives over a transfer last week, with the overlying understanding that the Red Devils captain would only consider a move if United communicated their desire to sell him.
Amorim repeatedly emphasised his desire to keep the midfielder but Al-Hilal could offer a fee in excess off €80m, which may tempt United into a sale.
However, no offer has been made as of yet despite Al-Hilal’s desire to close a deal before the Club World Cup later this month.
Amorim urged to sign Aston Villa striker
Manchester United have been told to pursue a summer move for Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins following their goalscoring woes during the 2024-25 season.
The Red Devils scored just 44 goals in 38 Premier League games throughout the campaign and they are hoping to rectify that issue by signing at least one new forward this summer.
As a result, Ruben Amorim’s side are expected to pursue alternative options and former Man Utd midfielder Paul Ince believes Watkins is the perfect player to lead the club back into the Champions League.
“If you picked your best 11 players from the Premier League, you wouldn’t have one United player in there,” Ince told The Telegraph.
“They badly need more firepower and I’m looking at someone like Ollie Watkins - a striker who can actually score goals - as a player United need to be going for.”
Garnacho eyes Chelsea move
Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly set his sights on joining Chelsea this summer as he prepares to leave Manchester United after five years at the club.
The Argentina international moved to Old Trafford as a 16-year-old back in 2020, but he is expected to depart during the 2025 summer transfer window after a public bust-up with head coach Ruben Amorim.

Chelsea and Napoli were both interested in signing Garnacho in January, and the Argentina winger has now informed his representatives of his desire to join Enzo Maresca’s side this summer, according to The Sun.
Garnacho is reportedly eager to establish himself as a “world star” in the Premier League and he believes joining Chelsea, who have signed a plethora of talented youngsters over the past few years, would be the perfect next step for his development.
Jadon Sancho: Chelsea loanee could STAY at Man Utd next season
Jadon Sancho may be reintegrated into the Manchester United squad next season if Chelsea opt against signing him this summer, according to a shock report.
That is according to Ben Jacobs, who told the United Stand YouTube channel: “If Sancho and Chelsea can't agree terms, they'll return him to Manchester United for a £5m penalty fee and then we have to wait and see because I don't think it's as clear cut as [Alejandro] Garnacho and [Marcus] Rashford.
“There could be a way of Sancho being reintegrated at Manchester United if he's returned. I think it's more 50/50 depending on how the player responds to returning.”
Amorim draws up four-man striker list
Manchester United have reportedly drawn-up a list of four centre forward targets after missing out on Ipswich Town star Liam Delap.
Ruben Amorim’s side are desperate to sign a new striker ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, following Rasmus Hojlund’s woes since his arrival from Atalanta, and they have been forced to pursue alternative options amid news of Delap’s imminent move to Chelsea.
As a result, the Red Devils have drawn-up a striker shortlist that includes Victor Osimhen, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Jonathan David and Randal Kolo Muani, according to CaughtOffside.
Man Utd are also interested in RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko, however Arsenal are in talks to sign the Slovenia international and are eager to finalise a deal for the 22-year-old.
