Superagent in Barcelona to talk Lamine Yamal contract and SURPRISE Chelsea transfer

Barcelona are set to hold critical talks with superagent Jorge Mendes over Lamine Yamal’s contract and a possible blockbuster Chelsea transfer.
Lamine has exploded over the course of the last campaign, scoring nine goals and creating 14 more for Barca as they stormed to LaLiga.
The 17-year-old is in line for a massive new contract when he turns 18, with anticipation building around Barcelona for news of the deal. Everything appears to going smoothly for the Ballon d’Or candidate.
COPE’s Helena Condis Edo reports on Monday via X: “Jorge Mendes will return to Barcelona in the next few hours to finalise Lamine Yamal's contract renewal. Everything is on track, with just a few details left.”
Mendes is not just in Spain to talk about the teenage superstar; he will also hold talks over the future of Ansu Fati, who was hotly linked with a move to Monaco over the weekend. Chelsea have emerged as a shock possibility for the former Brighton loanee.
It is stated: “Mendes will also meet with Ansu Fati, whose future is far from Barcelona. In addition to Monaco's offer, he also has Chelsea.”

Ansu Fati to Chelsea
Ansu Fati was once touted as a possible heir to Lionel Messi at Barcelona but has seen his stock fall dramatically at Barcelona due to a succession of injury issues.
The 22-year-old missed close to a year due to a knee injury in 2020/21 and has failed to recover his best form – or his top level of fitness – since that point.
Ansu managed just 11 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona over the course of the season, failing to score a goal or generate an assist in 298 competitive minutes of action. His off-field antics have also drawn criticism, with claims that his penthouse apartment parties have left neighbours furious.
Chelsea are seeking an attacking midfielder to add an immediate impact to their side, and while Ansu would be a relatively low-cost signing given that he has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of just €6.7 million, there is no doubt that he is a high-risk addition.
The Blues may feel, though, that the chance of getting the Spain international to the level he was in 2019/20, when he scored seven goals in 24 LaLiga appearances, makes him a gamble worth taking.
