Victor Osimhen in ‘ADVANCED TALKS’ for big-money move: Nigeria striker lands €50m contract

Victor Osimhen is closing in on his new club, with the Nigeria international star having nearly reached personal terms on a contract worth up to €50m.
Linked with a string of Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United, as he prepares to leave Napoli on a permanent basis this summer, Osimhen instead appears destined to move to the Saudi Pro League, where Al-Hilal have been tracking his progress.
The wage demands of the 26-year-old appear to have put off suitors in England, who had initially been attracted by his release clause of around €75m. Juventus also wanted the player, but he has proven to be too expensive.
Sky Sport Switzerland’s Sacha Tavolieri reports: “Victor Osimhen is in advanced discussions with Al Hilal with a view to a permanent transfer this summer. In direct contact with the club's president, Fahad bin Nafel, the Nigerian is negotiating in person with the Saudi club's strongman to secure an agreement.”
Osimhen is set to earn an annual salary of up to €17.5m, including bonuses.

Osimhen to Al-Hilal: Still waiting for the green light
Any transfer is not expected within a matter of hours, yet it is a situation that could develop quickly, with the Saudi club said to be bullish about their prospects of landing the former Lille striker.
“While personal terms are close to being reached between Osimhen and Fahad bin Nafel, Al Hilal cannot yet validate this transfer. Indeed, the Saudi club is waiting to receive the total amount expected from the Saudi government in order to finalise the transaction, and thus contact Napoli to conclude the agreement between the clubs,” Tavolieri reports.
“The so-called ‘financial viability’ committee within the Ministry of Sports has not yet given the green light to release the necessary funds. Without this, it will be impossible to finalise the transfer.
“That said, the parties involved in the transaction are fully confident that a transfer will be completed, as Victor Osimhen has personally expressed his desire to join the Saudi club to the president of Al Hilal. If he were to join Saudi Arabia, he could sign a three-season contract.”
Osimhen is therefore in line to earn over €50 million when his move to Al Hilal is concluded, as seems likely now.
