Transfer Rumours: Man Utd 'lead the charge' as Barcelona lose their new Yamal
FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours and gossip from 8 July, including the latest updates on Felix Nmecha, Adam Qaroual and Eli Kroupi.
Man Utd in pole position for Nmecha
Man Utd are "leading the charge" for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha, as per BILD.
The Red Devils remain interested in the Germany international despite his recent contract extension and could yet launch a move for him this summer. However, Dortmund's stance is clear: Nmecha is not for sale.
It would require a fee in the region of €120 million to get the Bundesliga side to sell. That said, the outlet claims that Dortmund's stance perhaps isn't as firm as the club make it seem because, at the end of the day, they likely do need a major sale this summer.
Barca lose their next Yamal
Viral sensation Adam Qaroual has decided to leave Barcelona's La Masia academy, Sport reports.
The 13-year-old winger is one of the most high-profile players in Barcelona's youth setup. He joined the club in 2023, but despite earning comparisons to Lamine Yamal with his dribbling, he has struggled to adapt.
The German-born youngster and his family believe that they haven't been supported enough by Barcelona and have made the "well-considered" decision to leave. A new club hasn't been chosen, but suitors from Spain and around Europe would welcome Qaroual with open arms.
Spurs to make Kroupi move
Tottenham are poised to test Bournemouth's resolve with an approach for Eli Kroupi, talkSPORT understands.
It is claimed that the North London club, who have already spent close to €270m this summer, are lining up a bid in the region of €100m in order to convince Bournemouth to soften their stance.
The Cherries insist that the France youth international is not for sale this summer, but there is a long list of suitors ready to snap him up. Arsenal are among the clubs keen on Kroupi.
PSG taking their time with Diomande
PSG are in no rush to complete a deal for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, according to L'Equipe.
The sought-after teenager recently picked the Ligue 1 champions as his next club, and an agreement on a five-year contract is believed to already be in place. However, discussions with RB Leipzig over a transfer fee remain ongoing.
The Bundesliga side insist that Diomande is not for sale and that only a fee north of €120m could change this stance, while PSG are determined not to overpay. Could this delay embolden Liverpool to make another offer for him?
Saliba interest
Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG are interested in Arsenal centre-back William Saliba, CaughtOffside claims.
The France international committed his long-term future to the Gunners last year amid strong links to Real Madrid, but this has not stopped elite clubs from continuing to monitor his situation.
However, Arsenal have no plans to entertain the departure of their star defender. Only something "extraordinary," such as an offer worth more than €150m, could potentially test the Gunners' resolve.
