Garnacho suitors revealed

Several reliable outlets, including The Athletic, have confirmed that Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho is for sale.

The Argentine only joined the club from Man Utd last summer, but Chelsea are ready to cash in on him in a bid to balance the books after recording yet another staggering loss in the previous financial year.

And an exit could realistically be on the cards before long because two unnamed Champions League clubs have expressed an interest in signing the 21-year-old. It is possible that these clubs are AS Roma and Napoli, who have both been linked with him in recent days.

New Chavarria bid

Chelsea are preparing a new bid for Rayo Vallecano left-back Pep Chavarria, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Personal terms have already been agreed with the 28-year-old, but Rayo Vallecano are digging their heels in as selling Chavarria would leave them without a recognised left-back. Reports in Spain have suggested that they want Chelsea to trigger his €50 million release clause.

Understandably, Chelsea are not willing to pay that much and are ready to submit an improved offer after reportedly seeing €9m and €15m bids rebuffed. "From what I understand, Chelsea are preparing to submit a new official bid in the coming days," Romano said.

Lacroix patience required

Romano also understands that Chelsea will have to be patient if they wish to complete a deal for Crystal Palace centre-back Maxence Lacroix.

Reports in France jumped the gun when they claimed that the Les Bleus star was set to join the Blues after the World Cup, with club sources at Palace insisting that there had not yet been any contact with Chelsea, let alone an agreement.

Romano concurs that more work needs to be done. "For now, patience is required because Crystal Palace will only allow one of their key players to leave if they receive the right fee and secure a suitable replacement first," the Italian explained.

Rogers state of play

Chelsea appear unlikely to make a move for Aston Villa superstar Morgan Rogers, as per The Athletic.

The England forward has admirers at Stamford Bridge, but a combination of his price tag and widespread interest from other suitors means that Chelsea are currently not expected to credibly pursue a deal for him.

The Daily Mail claims that Aston Villa are demanding a British-record fee of more than €150m for the versatile attacker after seeing Elliot Anderson move for €135m from Nottingham Forest to Man City.

Derry agreement close

Chelsea are on the verge of reaching a contract agreement with talented youngster Jesse Derry, the BBC reports.

The 19-year-old's current contract still runs until 2029, but Chelsea are ready to hand him improved terms in a bid to fend off high-profile interest from various European clubs.

Derry only joined the club from Crystal Palace last year and went on to make his senior debut under Liam Rosenior in the FA Cup in February. He later also featured in the Premier League before suffering an unfortunate injury.
