Vinicius Jr salary demand

Chelsea are among the clubs who are being kept informed of Vinicius Junior’s situation at Real Madrid, as per TEAMtalk.

The Brazil superstar has been heavily linked with a Los Blancos exit in recent months and his contract is still due to expire in 2027, with no agreement on fresh terms in sight.

It’s reported that Vinicius’ representatives are seeking a weekly salary of £500,000 - a figure that Real Madrid are unwilling to meet - and his camp have now held talks with several Premier League clubs after he communicated his willingness to move to England.

Chelsea are one of the teams keeping tabs on his situation, alongside Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Malo Gusto green light

Manchester City have been given the ‘green light’ to sign Chelsea defender Malo Gusto this summer, according to Football Insider.

The France international worked with Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge and the new City boss has reportedly identified him as his priority right-back target as he looks to bolster his options ahead of next season.

Chelsea are open to selling Gusto if a bid worth €88 million (£75m) is submitted, but this is believed to be a major stumbling block as things stand, with City unwilling to match this valuation.

Gusto’s representatives have already discussed a potential transfer with Man City officials and he will seriously consider his future at Chelsea after the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup.

Jesse Derry mobbed

Chelsea wonderkid Jesse Derry was mobbed at Lisbon airport on Thursday evening ahead of his imminent loan move to Portuguese giants Sporting CP.

The England U19 international has signed a new six-year contract at Chelsea following an eye-catching debut campaign at the club, and he will spend the 2026-27 season on loan at Sporting in order to gain valuable first-team experience.

The 19-year-old had been tipped for a potential first-team role under new boss Xabi Alonso this season, with Chelsea willing to accept offers for Alejandro Garnacho, but a full agreement has been reached for him to join Sporting on a one-year loan deal instead.

Derry travelled to Lisbon to undergo a medical on Thursday, and he was mobbed by fans and journalists upon his arrival. He will become the first player to join Sporting from Chelsea in history when the move is officially announced, and the teenager is set for a season in the spotlight, which is something he has never experienced before.

Trevoh Chalobah wants Inter Milan

Inter Milan are ready to intensify their pursuit of Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah, who is keen to join the Serie A giants this summer.

Xabi Alonso’s side attempted to use Chalobah in a swap deal bid for Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix, but the England international rejected this offer as he has no intention of returning to Selhurst Park.

That is according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who claim that Chalobah only wants to join Inter this summer. However, they are yet to match Chelsea’s €40m asking price.

Fellow Italian side Como have also been linked with the 27-year-old in recent weeks, but he has set his sights on completing a move to San Siro.

Unsuccessful Hjulmand hijack

Chelsea attempted to hijack Morten Hjulmand's €40m transfer from Sporting CP to Atletico Madrid, Pedro Fullana claims.

The Blues tried to swoop in at the last minute and offered the Denmark international a more lucrative contract, but his mind had already been made up after agreeing a five-year deal with Atleti.

The interest, though, hammers home that Xabi Alonso is desperate to sign an experienced leader for his midfield. Like previous target Granit Xhaka at Sunderland, Hjulmand was Sporting's captain prior to his Atleti transfer.
