Transfer Rumours: Lucas Chevalier opportunity as Arsenal hold talks over surprise deal
FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours and gossip from 10 October, including the latest updates on Lucas Chevalier, Ryan Augusto and Michael Olise.
Chevalier to leave PSG
Lucas Chevalier could leave PSG as early as January, L'Equipe reports.
The Frenchman was signed for €40 million last year to be the French giants' new long-term No.1, but he lost his place to Matvey Safonov after several howlers, and he has yet to play this season.
As a result, Chevalier is considering his options ahead of January. The 24-year-old was among the most highly rated goalkeepers in Europe prior to his PSG debacle, so he is likely to have no shortage of suitors.
Arsenal hold Augusto talks
Arsenal have held informal talks with Red Bull Bragantino youngster Ryan Augusto, as per ESPN Brazil.
The 19-year-old is a right-back by trade and has made his senior debut this season, while he has also featured for Brazil's U20s. Arsenal have made some preliminary enquiries to get ahead of possible competitors.
It is believed that Arsenal are pursuing a similar strategy to the one that saw them sign Gabriel Martinelli as a teenager in 2019. They are looking to potentially get a deal done for a high-potential youngster before other European suitors can make their moves.
Olise decision
Michael Olise will only consider a move to LaLiga if he is to leave Bayern Munich, TEAMtalk claims.
The France international has been heavily linked with Liverpool since the summer, but he is not keen on a Premier League return and could only be tempted to leave Bayern for Barcelona or Real Madrid.
At this stage, though, Olise is content to stay in Munich, and he is receptive to the club's attempts to offer him a new contract. Sky Germany has reported that the 24-year-old is in line to become Bayern's best-paid player.
Exceptional Murillo offer needed
TEAMtalk also writes that Nottingham Forest will only consider a January sale of Murillo if they receive an "exceptional offer."
The 24-year-old has recently been linked with a possible move to Man Utd again. The Red Devils are believed to be in the market for a new centre-back heading into 2027.
However, Forest do not want to lose Murillo mid-season and feel that they are well protected against any overtures from suitors after the Brazilian's contract extension in May.
Chelsea unlikely to return for Camara
Chelsea are not expected to make a move for AS Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara unless they are offered a discount, Ben Jacobs understands.
The Senegal international was set to move to Stamford Bridge in a €55m transfer on Deadline Day, but Monaco pulled the plug on the deal at the last minute, severely straining the relationship between the clubs.
It has been claimed that Chelsea have retained their interest, but they won't make a move in 2027 unless they can get a deal done below €55m. However, Monaco are more likely to raise their asking price rather than lower it, with the Ligue 1 side believed to be demanding around €70m.
