Frenkie de Jong wanted

Chelsea are among the clubs keeping close tabs on Frenkie de Jong’s situation at Barcelona, according to Spanish outlet SPORT.

The Dutchman has been a key player throughout his time with the Spanish giants, however he now faces strong competition for places and there is no guarantee that he will receive a starting XI spot upon his return from injury amid the recent form of Marc Bernal and Fermin Lopez.

As a result, Barcelona’s sporting management will reportedly be keeping a close eye on De Jong’s situation ahead of the winter transfer window, with the club potentially open to a sale if he fails to work his way into favour under Hansi Flick.

It’s understood that Manchester City lodged an enquiry to sign the 29-year-old over the summer, while Chelsea are now closely monitoring a possible move after sanctioning the sale of Enzo Fernandez on Transfer Deadline Day.

Jayden Malundama signs deal

Chelsea midfielder Jayden Malundama has officially signed his first professional contract at the club following his 17th birthday.

The teenager, who joined the Blues at U8 level, initially penned a scholarship deal in July, but he has now been rewarded with a professional deal.

Malundama has made one appearance for Chelsea’s U18 side so far this season.

Malo Gusto latest

Malo Gusto could become available when the January transfer window opens, as per a shock report from Flashscore.

Chelsea were willing to accept a sale if they received an offer worth around €90m over the summer, amid interest from Liverpool and Manchester City, and they could be tempted to finalise a deal for a lower fee this winter.

It’s claimed that Gusto wants to establish himself as a regular starter at Stamford Bridge, but there is interest from clubs across Europe and his situation remains one to watch.

Jules Kounde asking price

Chelsea will need to pay more than €50m to sign Barcelona defender Jules Kounde, according to Spanish transfer reporter Matteo Moretto.

The France star has once again been linked with a Stamford Bridge switch in recent days and it’s reported that he is on Chelsea’s transfer radar after falling down the pecking order at Camp Nou.

However, Moretto insists that Chelsea will be required to submit an offer in excess of €50m to tempt Barca into a sale.

Josh Acheampong contract talks

Chelsea are keen to finalise a contract extension agreement with Josh Acheampong in a bid to ward off suitors from across Europe.

The England U21 international has been heavily linked with a Chelsea exit for several years, dating back to his time in the club’s academy, but he is now viewed as one of their ‘untouchables’ and a new deal could be on the cards.

That is according to a report from TEAMtalk, who claim that Chelsea want to tie him down to an extended contract in order to end transfer interest from a host of top clubs.

Acheampong’s current deal with the west London giants runs until 2029 and while he is wanted by the likes of Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Liverpool, Chelsea have zero interest in sanctioning a sale and they are ready to reward him with improved terms.

This stance is backed up by Xabi Alonso, who is reportedly keen to retain Acheampong as he looks to build a squad capable of winning major honours in the near future.

Tiemoue Bakayoko back to action?

Celtic could reportedly complete the signing of former Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko on a free transfer after holding talks with the Frenchman earlier this year.

Bakayoko was on Celtic’s transfer radar in February and while the Scottish giants eventually opted to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain instead, they are now once again eager to complete a possible deal.

Sky Sports report that Bakayoko has been training with Martin O’Neill’s side for the past few weeks and the Celtic hierarchy have reportedly been “running the rule” over a potential transfer during the international break.

The ex-Chelsea star has been without a club since leaving PAOK as a free agent in July 2025, but Celtic are exploring the possibility of bringing him to Glasgow as they look to bolster their midfield options following the summer sale of Arne Engels to West Ham United.

Chelsea eye Bayern wonderkid

Teenage sensation Leonard Prescott is facing an uncertain future at Bayern Munich, presenting Chelsea with a perfect transfer opportunity.

The New York City-born Germany youth international has not yet made his senior debut for Vincent Kompany's side and they are now faced with the serious prospect of losing "one of Europe's biggest goalkeeper talents," according to Sky Germany.

Contract talks with the 17-year-old are stalling because of a lack of a senior pathway and this could present an opportunity for Chelsea to swoop after registering their interest in his signature over the summer.
