There’s still a World Cup going on, but the transfer window is gathering pace as Arsenal and Chelsea have both confirmed deals over the last 24 hours or so, while ‘agent’ Lamine Yamal has again risked the wrath of Atletico Madrid.

Latest Transfer Rumours

One of Barcelona’s primary transfer targets this summer is Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez, but the clubs are far apart on their valuation of the player and the Spanish capital club have previously openly mocked Barca’s attempts to sign him on social media, making the whole situation rather messy.

What’s making it messier is Lamine Yamal’s attempts at playing agent, as he’s again reiterated a desire to play alongside the Argentine.

When asked about Barca’s interest in the 26-year-old, Yamal told Mundo Deportivo:

“Everyone knows he’s a top player, the kind everyone wants to play with. I’ve already said it: we’re open to welcoming him, and if he comes, we’ll all be very happy.

“I think he’s a great fit for Barca’s style. I have no idea what the situation is, but I hope so.”

Atletico won’t take kindly to his words.

Celtic to go all-out for Bowie

Celtic may have wrapped up a deal to sign forward Camilo Duran, with Kelechi Iheanacho expected to agree another deal too, but Martin O’Neill is keen for more centre-forwards, and one in particular is catching his eye.

Kieron Bowie, previously of Hibs, was heavily linked with the Hoops in the January transfer window but Hellas Verona won the race for his signature, securing a deal for €6m.

The 23-year-old scored four goals in 14 games during the second half of the season for Verona, but the club still suffered relegation to Serie B and have been considering a quick sale after less than a year, while Bowie personally suffered a blow after being left out of the Scotland squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Corriere di Verona (via The Daily Record), claim that Celtic are ready to go “all out” to sign the striker this summer as they look to further bolster their forward options.

Spectacular double deal for Arsenal?

Arsenal could be about to pull off a sensational double deal as Bruno Guimaraes has agreed personal terms with the club, while Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers is ‘very, very close’ to agreeing a contract with the North London side, FootballTransfers exclusively revealed on Wednesday.

Despite having a midfield that already boasts the likes of Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, Martin Zubimendi, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Mikel Merino, manager Mikel Arteta wants to improve in this area, looking to build from a position of strength after winning the Premier League last season.

FootballTransfers exclusively reported on 4 July that Bruno is growing frustrated with Newcastle over the club’s trajectory.

Arsenal are willing to pay £60 million (€70m) for the 28-year-old, but Newcastle want closer to £100m (€117m).

Rogers is expected to cost even more than that, but that hasn’t deterred Arsenal from pursuing both players.

Man Utd target World Cup star

Manchester United have been busy over the last few days are appear to be on the cusp of announcing deals for both Andrey Santos of Chelsea and Ederson of Atalanta.

However, Michael Carrick wants more midfield reinforcements, especially after Casemiro’s departure and Manuel Ugarte’s serious knee injury.

They’ve been watching the performances of Manu Koné at the World Cup and seem impressed as, according to TeamTalk, they will bid around £50m (€58m) for the services of the Roma midfielder, who could very well turn up at Old Trafford as a World Cup winner.

The report states that Kone has expressed a desire to test himself in the Premier League.

Barca finalising deal for Rashford replacement

It is looking increasingly likely that Marcus Rashford won’t get his dream permanent move to Barcelona as the Blaugrana are reportedly finalising a deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi.

The England international’s loan spell at Barcelona came to an end in June and the club opted against activating the €30 million purchase option included in his agreement with Manchester United.

Rather than making Rashford’s move permanent, the Spanish champions are set to invest a similar amount in Adeyemi. Dortmund are expected to part with the winger for a fee believed to be between €30 million and €40 million.

Though the fees are similar, Rashford’s wages would have been significantly higher than Adeyemi’s

Barcelona have already agreed personal terms with the 24-year-old, according to Marca.

Arsenal learn huge Barcola price

Arsenal have been told that Bradley Barcola will cost €150m.

Several of Europe's leading clubs are monitoring the situation of the 23-year-old, whose long-term future at Paris Saint-Germain remains unclear. Arsenal and Liverpool are both understood to be pushing to sign him before the summer transfer window closes, with the pair emerging as leading contenders for his signature.

The Frenchman is busy impressing at the World Cup and, like Kone, he may earn himself a Premier League move having won the tournament, if Les Bleus go all the way.
