Transfer Rumours: Arsenal shock as Mateus Fernandes terms agreed
FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours and gossip from 24 June, including the latest updates on Mateus Fernandes, Morgan Rogers and Marco Palestra.
Fernandes terms "basically agreed"
Man Utd have pretty much agreed personal terms with West Ham midfielder Mateus Fernandes, as per talkSPORT.
The Red Devils are leading the chase for the Portugal international, and it is no secret that Fernandes is keen on the move to Old Trafford, despite also fielding interest from Arsenal, PSG and Real Madrid.
Tottenham have also shown an interest in Fernandes, but it is believed that they are prioritising Newcastle star Sandro Tonali, which could give Man Utd the perfect chance to finalise a deal for him.
Villa don't want to sell Rogers
Aston Villa have informed Morgan Rogers' suitors that he is not for sale this summer, Sky Sports understands.
Reports have suggested that Arsenal have already agreed terms with the England star after making a strong push for his signature, with the Gunners thought to be leading the race.
However, contrary to what was claimed before, Villa have now "made it clear" that they are not interested in receiving bids for Rogers and that there is no real asking price. Only a fee well in excess of €120 million could change their stance.
Chelsea's Palestra interested confirmed
David Ornstein has confirmed that Chelsea are interested in Atalanta full-back Marco Palestra.
The 21-year-old is coming off an impressive season on loan at Cagliari and has become a top target for Inter, who have been in talks over a €50m deal with Atalanta for over a week.
However, Chelsea are looking to hijack the deal and could quickly reach an agreement to complete this transfer after indicating that they are willing to match Atalanta's asking price, which Inter are not prepared to do.
Adams interest remains
Man Utd are still interested in Bournemouth midfielder Tyler Adams, CaughtOffside claims.
The Red Devils were already linked with a move for the US international over the winter, but he suffered an injury - ironically at Old Trafford - that sidelined him until the spring.
Man Utd are now back in the mix, but Chelsea are also believed to be monitoring Adams. Bournemouth do not want to sell but could be willing to soften their stance if a fee north of €30m were to be offered.
Man Utd want Anton
Man Utd are keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund defender Waldemar Anton, Ruhr Nachrichten has confirmed.
The reliable local outlet has corroborated reports that Michael Carrick and company have been left impressed with the recent development of the Germany international, who has become a real leader at Dortmund.
The 29-year-old could be a fairly affordable defensive reinforcement, although Dortmund do not want to lose him. It is also not believed that Anton would start pushing for a transfer if Man Utd were to firm up their interest.
