Arsenal Transfer News Today: Two records shattered as Livramento truth bomb dropped
All the latest Arsenal transfer news in one place, including updates on Tino Livramento, Ayyoub Bouaddi and Emmanuel Fernandez.
Exclusive: Lewis-Skelly exit possible?
Man Utd have been linked with a spectacular move for Arsenal youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly, who is struggling for minutes this season behind Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie.
The Red Devils are in the market for a new left-back and have reportedly earmarked the Hale End academy graduate as a potential option. Lewis-Skelly could be tempted to move away from Arsenal in a bid to get regular minutes.
While a move to Man Utd would be jarring to see for Arsenal fans, it wouldn't be unprecedented. As transfer insider Steve Kay points out, the Gunners recently lost talented prospects Chido Obi and Ayden Heaven to the Old Trafford outfit.
Exclusive: Arsenal warned off Livramento
Arsenal are interested in Newcastle right-back Tino Livramento, but former England international Chris Waddle believes that suitors should be wary of his injury record.
"I think Newcastle will be wanting to keep hold of him. The question mark with Livramento has always been his injuries," Waddle told FootballTransfers.
"He doesn't get a knock where he's out for a week and misses one game. It's always that he misses four or five games or two months. That will probably be a concern for a lot of clubs looking at him because he wouldn't be cheap."
Record deal required for Bouaddi
Lille want to make midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi their new record sale, according to L'Equipe.
The financial reality of French football means that Lille need to extract maximum value from their assets, and the Ligue 1 side have shown that they are ready to play hardball during transfer talks. They managed to squeeze €62 million from Man Utd for Leny Yoro in 2024.
Arsenal are believed to be Bouaddi's strongest suitors, but history is not in the their favour: Lille's current record sale is notorious Gunners flop Nicolas Pepe, who cost the North London club €80m in 2019.
Rangers want record fee for Fernandez
Arsenal have also been linked with a surprise move for Rangers defender Emmanuel Fernandez, and it is a similar story to Bouaddi.
TEAMtalk claims that the Ibrox giants want to make the Nigerian not only the club's record sale, but the most expensive player in the history of the Scottish Premiership. Rangers are said to be demanding €40m for Fernandez.
It is, however, doubtful that there is anything to this. Not only is this price tag completely detached from his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of just €1.2m, there are also questions over whether Fernandez is even good enough to play for a club of Arsenal's stature.
Jesus to return to Palmeiras?
Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has once again fuelled speculation that he could return to formative club Palmeiras soon.
The Brazilian has been linked with a return for years, and it is claimed that Palmeiras would jump at the chance to bring him back if presented the chance. Jesus is currently training with the Serie A side to keep himself fit.
“I think you can make the most of both things. Family moments with the people we love but without neglecting your health and fitness," Jesus told reporters. "I always have the doors open.
"Everyone knows Palmeiras is my home, where I grew up, and I always have the doors open to go to the club. Arsenal and Palmeiras have a great relationship and approved my training here.”
Arsenal want Anderson
Arsenal have added Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson to their list of midfield targets, CaughtOffside has confirmed.
The England international was already linked with the Gunners earlier this week, and it has now been corroborated that a potential move is being mulled over.
Anderson is also fielding interest from Man Utd and Man City, with the latter widely regarded as the favourites to sign him. However, the emergence of Arsenal could blow the race for his signature wide open.
