Bruno Fernandes demands January exit

Bruno Fernandes is eyeing up a January transfer away from Manchester United, according to a sensational report from Turkish outlet Fanatik that claims that Portugal star has grown ‘tired’ of the constant rebuilding process at Old Trafford.

The report comes amid contract talks between the player and the club, which have been postponed until the end of the year. Fanatik adds that Fernandes wants a clearer idea of where the club is going before signing a new deal.

Bruno has been linked with a move away from United on several occasions in the past, with the Saudi Pro League holding an interest in him, though the Turkish source claims he is pushing for a move to Galatasaray.

However, Fernandes claimed at the end of last season that he and his family had settled happily in Manchester.

Man Utd stars banned from talking to press

Lisandro Martinez’s outburst towards sporting director Jason Wilcox continues to cause friction at Old Trafford, with The Mirror reporting that the Man Utd squad were banned from speaking to the press following Sunday’s 1-1 Premier League draw with Leeds.

The Argentine was fined for claiming that United should have strengthened their squad more significantly in the summer.

This has cast Martinez’s future at the club into doubt and saw the likes of Bruno and Matheus Cunha prevented from speaking to the media after Sunday’s clash at Elland Road, highlighting the state of tension around the Red Devils.

JJ Gabriel decision expected soon

Man Utd wonderkid JJ Gabriel continues to train alone in Spain, with the Premier League side thought to be resigned to losing the teenager.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are closely monitoring the situation, according to a report from Sport.

Gabriel is thought to be ready to accept a contract offer from Real Madrid worth €10 million over three years while Barca are thought to be ‘cautious’ over the high demands of the player while Bayern are considered to be trailing in the race.

Man Utd suffer potential left-back blow: Barca change Balde stance

Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde has been regularly cited as a likely January transfer target for Man Utd, but their hopes of landing the Spain international have been dealt a blow as Hansi Flick prepares to recall him for Tuesday’s Champions League meeting with PSG.

Injuries to Jules Kounde and Eric Garcia mean that Balde is likely to get his chance against the Champions League winners, having played just 12 minutes so far this season.

An impressive performance could take him off the transfer market.

Neville tells Carrick: It has to change in the next few weeks

With just two wins from 10 matches this season, Man Utd manager Michael Carrick finds himself under pressure – and club legend Gary Neville says he has to find a way to transform the club’s fortunes rapidly.

“I would say fourth would be a birdie, fifth would be par, and sixth would be a bogey. But they can't finish outside the top five, because then you're missing out on Champions League and it becomes a vicious circle,” Neville told Sky Sports after Man Utd’s sixth consecutive game without a win.

“If they're 13th in January, he's got a problem because then you are what you are. Whereas I think it's still early enough, seven points from seven games, to say, 'okay, still early in the season'. You can't say that after 15 games.

“It has to change in the next few weeks: Bournemouth is really important and Chelsea away. And how he manages the games in between that.”
