Chelsea plot Musiala revenge

Chelsea are looking to get revenge on Bayern for Jamal Musiala by poaching the Munich club's next big talent Cassiano Kiala, who has been involved in several first-team matchday squads this season.

The 16-year-old's father recently flew to England to hold face-to-face talks with Chelsea and Man City. Superagent Jorge Mendes is reportedly poised to soon take control of the player's future.

Kiala would be unable to move to the UK until he turns 18 in January 2027, while Bayern are looking to keep him at "all costs," making this a difficult operation for Premier League suitors.

Chelsea won't renew Maignan interest

Chelsea are not looking to reignite their interest in AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan in 2026, having "withdrawn" from the race when they failed to agree a deal with the Serie A club in the summer.

It has repeatedly been suggested in the Italian press that Chelsea remain interested in the France international, but recent reports now acknowledge that the Blues are unlikely to return for him.

As things stand, Maignan will be available on a free transfer in the summer, but AC Milan look a good bet to qualify for the Champions League, which may make him reconsider his future.

Bayern chief unsure of Jackson future

Bayern director Max Eberl has claimed that there is "no tendency" yet regarding a potential permanent move for Chelsea loanee Nicolas Jackson, who is playing second fiddle to Harry Kane.

Jackson will not reach the minimum performance criteria to trigger the purchase obligation in his loan deal, but Bayern will nevertheless have the option to make his stay permanent for €65 million next summer.

However, the noises coming out of the club suggest that this will not happen, or at least not for such a sizeable transfer fee, meaning that Chelsea will have to find a new solution for him next year.

Enzo Maresca has dismissed suggestions that Chelsea will look to do much, if any, business in the upcoming January transfer window, despite demanding a new centre-back in the summer.

The head coach insists that he is happy at Chelsea and with his current squad, with his future having recently come into focus after some cryptic comments following the win over Everton at the weekend.

There is believed to be some tension behind the scenes at Chelsea, and Maresca refused to backtrack on his comments, claiming that he lacks support. Nevertheless, he says that he is content with the options at his disposal.
