PSG double deal and Atletico Madrid update

Fabrizio Romano began his latest YouTube video with an update on Paris Saint-Germain’s current transfer activity as they look to add two new players to Luis Enrique’s side.

“Paris Saint-Germain are accelerating to complete both Lucas Chevalier deal with Lille for €40m and also Ilya Zabarnyi from Bournemouth for around €65m euros,” he revealed.

“PSG convinced to get everything done in the next days. So PSG prepared to add two more players.”

Romano also clarified the latest regarding Atletico Madrid’s reported interest in Enzo Millot.

“Also important to mention one more story I wanted to clarify for you because we have many messages from Atletico Madrid fans asking about the Enzo Millot deal with Stuttgart.

“My feeling is that that deal is not done despite some reports. It was advanced last week but then other clubs are entering into the deal and so I think there is a concrete chance to see the Millot deal with Atletico Madrid collapsing.”

Fermin Lopez to Man Utd?

Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez has been linked with a shock move to Manchester United in recent days, although Romano has poured cold water on such reports.

“I can tell you that Man Utd respect Fermin Lopez, but they're not in for him. No negotiations, no talks - Fermin Lopez is fully focused on this important season at Barcelona," he said.

“He extended his contract just seven, eight months ago and Barcelona are not actively trying to sell Fermin Lopez.

“But it’s important to specify that I expect Man Utd to try for midfielders in the final four weeks of the summer transfer window.”

Tyrique George wants to leave Chelsea

Chelsea have been one of the most active clubs in the market this summer, but their business could lead to the exit of academy wonderkid Tyrique George.

That is according to Romano, who told his YouTube channel: “There is a strong concrete real possibility to see Tyrique George leaving Chelsea on a permanent transfer this summer.

“Chelsea would love to keep the player, but at the same time I'm hearing that the player wants to develop and he wants to play. He loves Chelsea and he respects Chelsea, but he feels that at Chelsea there will be many offensive players and it's going to be very difficult for a player like him to find game time.

“He wants to develop, he wants to play week in, week out and so at the moment the feeling is that George can leave Chelsea on a permanent transfer. I can tell you that Premier League and Italian clubs have called in recent days to ask about the situation of the player, but the interest is the most concrete from Germany,” Romano continued.

“My understanding is that there is a strong chance to see George ending up in the Bundesliga on a permanent transfer before the end of the summer transfer window. There were some calls from Borussia Monchengladbach, but also keep an eye on RB Leipzig because they are in direct contact with Chelsea.

“The two clubs are discussing the Xavi Simons deal on a daily basis. What I can tell you is that the deal has a very good chance of getting done.

“During these conversations between Chelsea and Leipzig, the name of George appeared. If Leipzig get George in the deal, it can make it easier also for Chelsea to accelerate for Xavi Simons.

Romano added: “George is leaving on permanent transfer. Armando Broja’s permanent transfer to Burnley is done. Marc Guiu will complete his move to Sunderland on loan tomorrow. Joao Felix went to Al-Nassr.

“So Chelsea are working on several outgoings and they are in advanced negotiations for Xavi Simons.”

Alejandro Garnacho wants Chelsea

In addition, Romano also provided an update on Chelsea’s continued pursuit of Man Utd outcast Alejandro Garnacho.

“Last night I published a post on my Instagram account saying that Garnacho and Simons are both targets for Chelsea. The like of Alejandro Garnacho appeared and I think it's an important confirmation of this interest from Chelsea.

“The player is fully aware of Chelsea’s interest and I can tell you that Chelsea are fully aware of Garnacho’s appreciation. So it's a mutual feeling between Chelsea and Garnacho. The player wants to go to Chelsea. The player is giving total priority to Chelsea. The player is waiting for Chelsea to act at the moment.

“There are still no direct negotiations club-to-club, but I expect that to happen this month in August. Now priority for Chelsea is outgoings. Second priority is to bring in Xavi Simons and then Alejandro Garnacho remains a topic.

“Personal terms are not an issue so Chelsea are really convinced to go for Garnacho, but it will depend obviously on the transfer fee.”

Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku latest

Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku have both been tipped as potential makeweights in a deal for Garnacho, but they may leave Chelsea regardless of whether the Argentine moves to west London.

“Christopher Nkunku has to go and will go this summer - they will find a solution this month,” Romano admitted.

“Nicolas Jackson is not a player that Chelsea are actively trying to sell, but if they get a good proposal he can still leave this August. It's still a concrete possibility.

“I will still keep an eye on Jackson because there is a lot of interest in the player. The striker market is quite hot around Europe in recent days and weeks.

“[Raheem] Sterling and Nkunku have to go, but Jackson could be the next one to leave Chelsea in the upcoming weeks if they get a good proposal.”
