Fabrizio Romano Transfer News: Arsenal ONE TO WATCH, Simons MESSAGES, Sesko DECISION
Football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has given his latest updates on the biggest stories of the day, including moves at Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.
Arsenal target wonderkid
Romano says that Arsenal are planning for the eventual exit of Jakub Kiwior, with the Gunners ready to make a move for a young French superstar in the making.
“Kiwior could be on his way out of Arsenal – but only if an important proposal arrives. Arsenal have already rejected the proposal from Portugal. Mikel Arteta loves the player. He loves the mentality of the player. But in case Kiwior goes, Arsenal will add a new defender to their squad. That’s guaranteed,” Romano told his YouTube channel.
“One of the players they love is Jeremy Jacquet of Rennes. They’ve already made contact with the French club the answer was: ‘Sorry, but the player is untouchable this summer.’
“He extended his contract at the end of May. He’s a crucial player for Rennes and they don’t want to spend this summer.
“Arsenal will keep monitoring this boy. It could be one to watch for 2026.”
Liverpool ready to agree Nunez deal
Darwin Nunez’s exit from Liverpool draws ever nearer, with the South American potentially destined to move to the Saudi Pro League.
Romano explained: “Al Hilal have presented their project and their ideas to Darwin Nunez. I’m told that Simone Inzaghi, the Al Hilal manager, is fully involved in this story. He’d love to have Darwin Nunez in his squad.
“Liverpool and Al Hilal have spoken to agree that Darwin Nunez and his representatives can be spoken to. Now what happens? Liverpool are waiting for a former bid but I don’t think an agreement between the clubs will be a problem. The real point is to see if Al Hilal can reach an agreement with Nunez on the contract.
“Let’s wait for the next steps. He’s fully expected to leave the club this summer.”
Xavi Simons pushing for Chelsea
Xavi Simons is taking matters into his own hands to force through a move to Chelsea, with the RB Leipzig attacker now sending the Blues constant messages that he wants to move.
“When Chelsea announced Jorrel Hato earlier, Xavi Simons was in the comments reacting. He’s a friend of Hato, so it’s normal. But at the same time, Xavi Simons keeps sending messages.
“On Friday, he deleted RB Leipzig from his Instagram biography, then on Saturday, he didn’t train with the squad or play in the friendly game. Now he’s sending his messages.
“This is not something normal. Xavi Simons wants to go to Chelsea. They’re his total priority. He wants this move as soon as possible. He’s made clear to RB Leipzig that they have no chance of keeping him.
“Chelsea are creating space with all these players leaving.”
What’s happening with Sesko?
Romano says that Benjamin Sesko may only be days away from making his transfer,.
“On Sesko, we have to be patient. There’s still no decision from the player. The agent remains in Leipzig to talk with the club and the player, and to arrive at a decision as soon as possible. For sure, this story won’t take super long,” Romano said.
“I don’t think it will go to Deadline Day at all. I think that very soon, Sesko will make a decision. His agent is there. Sesko is speaking with his family. Manchester United are still there and telling RB Leipzig that they’re prepared to bid. Newcastle have already bid and ready to pay. So the situation remains in this stage.
“Remember, it’s the player who’s going to make the difference in this transfer. He’s still waiting.”
Real Madrid updates
Finally, Romano dropped two updates from Real Madrid.
“Brahim Diaz will soon sign a new contract at Real Madrid. He’s agree all the conditions with the club,” Romano explained.
“Abdallah Ouazane is out of contract at Ajax. He was on the verge of joining Real Madrid but he didn’t after the medical. Despite proposals from England and other Spanish clubs, he decided to sign a new contract at Ajax. He’s not going to Real Madrid.”
