Rangers secure signing of Tottenham wonderkid Mikey Moore
Rangers are expected to complete the loan signing of Tottenham youngster Mikey Moore.
The Gers' ambitious summer business continues apace. New head coach Russell Martin has already welcomed eight new recruits to Ibrox so far in this window, and several deals are still in the works.
Earlier on Monday, Rangers were associated with a bid for Go Ahead Eagles star Oliver Antman, who is poised to become the Deventer club's record sale after a stunning season in the Eredivisie last term.
Meanwhile, Rangers have shown an interest in Tottenham wonderkid Mikey Moore, and this deal has progressed rapidly. Indeed, according to Sky Sports, the 17-year-old has greenlit a move to Glasgow and is now expected to join.
This would be a major coup for the Scottish giants as Moore is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in English football, having already made 21 senior appearances for Spurs despite his youth.
Rangers to sign Moore
Tottenham have splashed the cash in the wake of their Europa League triumph, bringing in Mohammed Kudus and making Mathys Tel's loan move permanent.
With more reinforcements expected before the end of the window, there is an acceptance that Moore may struggle for consistent minutes next season, so the door has been opened for a loan move.
Tottenham have reportedly received enquiries from a host of clubs and ultimately left the decision up to Moore. The youngster has now picked Rangers as his next club.
Given his sky-high potential, Spurs have made sure that this move is a straight loan without an option or obligation to buy the teenager. Still, this appears to be a hugely exciting signing for Rangers.
The Glasgow giants are currently gearing up for the return fixture of their Champions League qualification tie with Panathinaikos on Wednesday. Rangers head into the fixture with a 2-0 lead but are keen to further bolster their side ahead of the game.
