Enzo Fernandez bombshell

Manchester City are set to submit a formal bid for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez before the end of the summer transfer window.

It’s understood that Chelsea are willing to sell the 25-year-old if their €140 million asking price is met and while Man City were originally reluctant to make Fernandez their most expensive signing of all time, their stance is believed to have changed.

The eight-time Premier League champions are now set to step up talks with Chelsea over a transfer and Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that an official offer will soon be lodged as City look to finalise a deal ahead of their next Premier League fixture versus Crystal Palace on Friday night.

“Manchester City are set to send a formal bid before the end of the window for Enzo Fernandez,” the transfer expert posted on X.

“Man City want to try again and Enzo has opened doors to the move. Chelsea maintain they only sell if money is right and if they can improve their squad.”

Shumaira Mheuka deal confirmed

Chelsea striker Shumaira Mheuka has signed a new long-term contract after the club finally reached an agreement over fresh terms.

The England U19 international has been locked in contract extension talks with the Chelsea hierarchy for the entire summer and a deal has now been finalised, with Mheuka set to head out on loan for the 2026-27 campaign.

That is according to The Athletic, who confirm that Mhueka has put pen to paper on a new deal at Stamford Bridge following a sensational season at academy level, in which he scored 18 goals in 19 appearances in the Premier League 2.

The Chelsea Spot claim that a loan deal has also been agreed, with Mheuka’s next move set to be officially announced shortly. It’s understood that multiple clubs in Europe and the EFL have registered interest in the 18-year-old, although it’s perhaps more likely that a domestic move could be on the cards due to a limit of six international loan spots.

Liam Delap close to Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest are closing in on a deal for Chelsea striker Liam Delap, according to multiple reports.

The likes of Everton and Leeds United have also been linked with the Englishman, but Forest have emerged as the frontrunners to sign him and it’s understood that talks are intensifying as Chelsea look to finalise a permanent sale.

Chelsea’s asking price stands at just under €60m, however it remains to be seen if Forest will agree to match this figure or negotiate a lower price. Delap scored just one Premier League goal last season.

Mamadou Sarr to join Real Sociedad

Mamadou Sarr is on the verge of joining Real Sociedad on loan, with the deal fully agreed between all parties.

The Senegal international has been deemed surplus to requirements by the Chelsea hierarchy and they were keen to finalise a loan deal in order to ensure he plays consistent football this season.

It’s reported that Alonso played a key role in Sarr’s move to Sociedad, and the deal is set to be officially announced shortly.

Napoli pushing for Marc Guiu

Napoli are pushing to sign Chelsea forward Marc Guiu and are preparing an opening bid worth around €15m, as per Di Marzio.

The Serie A giants are currently leading the race to sign Guiu, who is expected to depart Stamford Bridge on a permanent deal before Deadline Day, and the saga is reportedly set to be resolved shortly.

Guiu is eager to leave Chelsea in search of more regular game time and he is Napoli’s top striker target, despite significant interest in Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus.
