Man Utd Transfer News Today: Bruno Fernandes bid as sale approved
All the latest Man Utd transfer news in one place, including updates on Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Carlos Baleba.
Galatasaray ready Fernandes bid
Galatasaray are prepared to bid €50 million for Man Utd captain Bruno Fernandes, The Telegraph writes.
The Portugal international has been a target for the Turkish giants all summer. With supporters growing restless over a lack of major signings, Galatasaray are now planning to make a move for Fernandes.
The Istanbul club would be ready to double Fernandes' already hefty wages, but Sky Sports reports that Man Utd have no intention of entertaining bids for the reigning Premier League Player of the Year.
Rashford could still be sold
Marcus Rashford remains in limbo over his future, with Man Utd unwilling to make a definitive judgement as long as the window remains open, the BBC understands.
The England star made his comeback in a friendly loss to Ruben Amorim's AC Milan on Saturday, but he could still be sold if the right offer materialises. Man Utd need to make sales if they want to acquire new signings.
TEAMtalk claims that Barcelona remain in contact with Rashford's camp, while Haberturk states that the player has been offered to Galatasaray. However, it is believed that the 28-year-old is unwilling to move to Turkey.
Baleba price slashed
Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba could be available for as little as €70m, the Daily Mail understands.
The Cameroon starlet was Man Utd's top target last summer and even agreed personal terms over a move, but Brighton demanded north of €100m to sell him, which made the deal a non-starter.
It is asserted that the Seagulls could now settle for a significantly reduced price after the currently injured midfielder endured a tricky season. Man Utd's interest has cooled, but they may revisit the deal if the reports of his knockdown price turn out to be correct.
Amass sacrificed?
Man Utd are willing to cash in on Harry Amass to fund a deal for Newcastle left-back Lewis Hall, as per the Daily Mail.
The 19-year-old is regarded as a hugely promising talent, but as mentioned above, the Red Devils need sales if they wish to make any more major signings. Amass could fetch a fee of just under €10m.
Signing a starting-calibre left-back is the club's main priority, with Hall considered the top target for the position. However, Newcastle insist that they do not want to sell, meaning that any prospective deal would be hugely expensive.
