Man Utd target’s wife drops major transfer hint

Manchester United have yet to make progress in the summer transfer window but have not received an update from an unlikely source – the wife of one of their targets.
In recent weeks, Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has been linked with a move to the Red Devils to replace shot-stopper Andre Onana, who has endured a couple of disappointing seasons at Old Trafford.
A World Cup winner, Martinez is coming off the back of a poor campaign and finds his future at Villa Park in question.
Following the last day of the Premier League season, when Unai Emery’s side missed out on Champions League football following a shock loss to the Red Devils, the 32-year-old was emotional as he said his goodbyes to the Villa fans.
But instead of that being a permanent farewell, Mandinha Martinez claims, it was simply because the goalkeeper feels so attached to the club’s support.
Speaking to BBC West Midlands, she said: “He wasn’t in tears. No. Anybody who knows Emi knows he is an emotional character and that’s who he is. It just shows you how much he loves the Villa fans. I love the Villa fans. We love Villa.”
Emi’s tears, then, do not necessarily mean that he will be on the move this summer, which will come as something of a blow to Man Utd.

Who is Mandinha Martinez?
She is primarily known as Emi Martinez’s wife but is also a lifestyle influencer and runs two interior design companies, including Mandinha Martinez Interiors. She has over 780,000 on her personal Instagram account.
She was born in London on 18 January, 1992 to a Brazilian mother and a Portuguese father.
Mandinha met Emi outside a bus stop in 2013 while they married four years later. The couple have two children, Santiago and Ava.
