Man Utd Transfer News Today: Mbeumo HIJACK as €74m deal confirmed

All the latest Man Utd transfer news in one place, including updates on Bryan Mbeumo, Emiliano Martinez and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Man Utd face Mbeumo hijack

Tottenham are stepping up their interest in Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo following the appointment of Thomas Frank as their head coach. The player is said to be intrigued by a potential reunion with Frank.
Mbeumo has been Man Utd's priority target since they managed to seal the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves, and the Cameroon international is said to be prioritising a potential transfer to the Red Devils.
However, Tottenham's new interest in the attacker is a potential worry for the Old Trafford club as they are still not 100 per cent sure that they can actually afford Mbeumo without first having to make sales.
Man Utd unveil Cunha - how much money is left?

After previously announcing the signing of Matheus Cunha on 1 June, Man Utd have now officially unveiled the former Wolves star as a new player of theirs.
The €74m outlay has given rise to doubts about their ability to attract other big-money players such as Mbeumo. While these worries are well-founded, the outlook for Man Utd isn't quite as bad as initially thought.
Indeed, Man Utd are confident that they can bring more players in before having to concern themselves with offloading players.
Kana-Biyik deal close
Man Utd's deal to sign Le Havre youngster Enzo Kana-Biyik on a free transfer is on the verge of being completed, with only some 'regulatory steps' necessary at this point. The Red Devils have managed to beat off competition from Marseille and Monaco to sign the 18-year-old attacker. Contrary to some reports, Man Utd are not planning to send him out on loan to INEOS affiliate Lausanne.
Kana-Biyik has yet to make his debut in senior football, but Man Utd are confident that they have secured a hugely promising youngster.
Martinez 'waiting' for Man Utd

Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez is waiting for Man Utd to make their move to sign him, with the Argentine expected to leave Villa Park this summer.
Martinez reportedly turned down a move to Galatasaray as he currently only has eyes for Man Utd, but the Red Devils have yet to take any formal steps towards signing him.
Man Utd are prioritising offensive signings and have yet to make a final decision on the future of Andre Onana.
Man Utd eyeing Ter Stegen

In addition to Martinez, Man Utd are credited with an interest in Barcelona shot-stopper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, who is facing a very awkward return to Catalunya after his summer holiday.
Barcelona are trying to force the German out of the club. Joan Garcia is said to join from city rivals Espanyol and compete for the No.1 spot with Wojciech Szczesny.
Ter Stegen insists that he is going nowhere, but he likely won't want to sit on the bench - or in stands - at Barcelona considering that he has only just succeeded Manuel Neuer as Germany's first-choice keeper after a decade in his shadow.
