Liverpool in new MEGA MOVE after Wirtz made official: Reds’ spending smashes €360m

Liverpool’s ambitious summer transfer market is set to continue once they have completed deals for Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez, with the Reds plotting another deal that will cost in excess of €120 million.
Arne Slot’s side may have won the Premier League after being quiet in the transfer market last summer, but the Anfield side are in the midst of a record spending splurge that shows no sign of stopping.
PSG winger Bradley Barcola is the latest player to be targeted by the Anfield club, according to The Sun. The France international attacker is expected to cost more than €120m, with the Champions League winners having little intention to let him go.
Barcola, it is claimed, will be the next target for the Reds once a deal is wrapped up for Wirtz.
Competition in this case is expected to be fierce. Not only are PSG reticent to allow the 22-year-old to depart, but Bayern Munich have earmarked him as their top signing option on the wing. FCB, though, are also looking at the possibility of signing Athletic Club winger Nico Williams because they believe Barcola will not be sold by the Ligue 1 champions.
The former Lyon star has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €71.6m, making him the second-most valuable player in Ligue 1 behind Desire Doue, the man who has taken his place as a regular in Luis Enrique’s starting XI in recent weeks.
Transfer records set to tumble
Liverpool are in the process of smashing all of the club’s transfer records, and a deal for Barcola will only underline that.
Wirtz is set to arrive in a transfer from Bayer Leverkusen worth €150m. Not only will this be Liverpool’s record purchase, it will be a Premier League record buy and the biggest move in the history of British football.
Potential Liverpool signings: Summer 2025
Name | From | Cost | Status |
Florian Wirtz | Bayer Leverkusen | €150m | Close |
Bradley Barcola | PSG | €120m | Rumour |
Milos Kerkez | Bournemouth | €53m | Close |
Jeremie Frimpong | Bayer Leverkusen | €40m | Official |
Milos Kerkez, meanwhile, remains poised to join up from Bournemouth in a move worth €53m.
The Reds have already signed Jeremie Frimpong from Leverkusen for €40m and the potential Barcola deal means that their summer spend could rapidly ramp up to over €360m in a strong signal of intent to their rivals that they will not allow their Premier League title to slip away easily.
