Director confirms 'constant' talks to complete Man Utd transfer

Real Betis sporting director Manu Fajardo has confirmed that he is in 'constant contact' with Manchester United over Antony's future.
The Brazilian has enjoyed a real career renaissance since moving to Seville in January, and Real Betis are desperate to keep him around beyond this term.
Although the Verdiblancos were well beaten by Atletico Madrid in their penultimate game of the LaLiga season on Sunday, it has been a great campaign for them, and there may yet be a cherry on the cake.
Betis will take on Chelsea in the Conference League final on May 28 in what could be Antony's final game for the club. With eight goals and five assists in 24 appearances, the 25-year-old has become a cult hero for the Spanish side.
As things stand, Antony will return to Man Utd in the summer, but Real Betis are continuously exploring different formulas to sign him permanently or, at the very least, to extend his loan.
Director confirms Antony talks
Speaking to DAZN ahead of Sunday's clash with Atleti, Betis sporting director Manu Fajardo confirmed that he is 'in constant contact' with Man Utd in a bid to extend Antony's stay.
“Yes, yes, there already have been [conversations]," he said. "There is a close and respectful relationship with Manchester United, and we are in constant contact with them.

“We have been talking with them since his arrival. We have to take great care of this asset, so that big clubs and players of this calibre continue to trust us. We will give everything so that players like Antony can join our club."
Whether Betis' attempts at keeping the winger will bear fruit remains to be seen. Champions League football has slipped away from them in recent games, so a permanent transfer - Man Utd's ideal scenario - appears to be ruled out as he would quite simply be too expensive for the LaLiga side.
