Juventus sacrifice stars to make bid

Juventus are poised to push hard to sign Osimhen from Napoli, with the Serie A giants ready to make a “maximum” bid for the Nigeria international striker, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Juve do not have the luxury of being able to trigger the striker’s release clause, which is worth €75 million. This is only valid for foreign clubs, such as Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester United.

As such, the Bianconeri are ready to offer up to €85m. It is stated that €75m of this will be an upfront fee with €10m following as bonuses.

Juventus want to fund this deal by selling Dusan Vlahovic, who they hope will fetch €40-50m in the open market.

Igor Tudor’s side are ready to allow Randal Kolo Muani and Francisco Conceicao to return to parent clubs PSG and Porto in a bid to channel their resources towards signing Osimhen, who is seen as their absolute priority.

Conte to follow Osimhen to Juventus

Osimhen isn’t the only Napoli star that Juventus want; they also want head coach Antonio Conte in their dugout next season, according to Alfredo Pedulla.

Juve will hold an internal meeting at the beginning of June to decide whether to persist with Tudor or target Conte.

The Turin club are willing to push for both the coach and the player, with Max Allegri likeliest to replace the former Chelsea and Tottenham boss at Napoli should he depart.

Osimhen’s title message

Galatasaray celebrated their Super Lig title on Sunday with a 3-0 win over Kayserispor at home.

True to form, Osimhen opened the scoring in the rout and after the game posted a heartfelt message on Instagram.

“What more can I say, WE ARE THE BEST! Galatasaray!” he declared. “God is the greatest.”

’Crooked’ accusations made in Italy

Lazio legend Paolo Di Canio has criticised Osimhen for being “crooked” and claims that he could cost his club the league title.

Napoli go into the final game of the season against Cagliari just needing a win to secure the Serie A crown, but Di Canio claims that the title would already have been claimed by Antonio Conte’s side in regular circumstances.

“If Osimhen instead of being crooked in every sense was straight, he would have already won the championship a long time ago. Instead he was crooked for a long time and wanted to leave,” Di Canio told Sky Sport Italia (via Napolista).

Rooney begs Man Utd to sign Osimhen

Wayne Rooney has revealed the three players he wants Man Utd to sign this summer, and they include Osimhen.

"I’d probably sign David De Gea, Manchester United have missed him and I think he could still do a very good job. Victor Osimhen as a number 9. Marc Guehi from Palace," the ex-Man Utd attacker told Amazon Sport.

Man Utd are in the race with Chelsea and Juventus for the Nigeria star.
