Five players who could leave Liverpool this summer

Arne Slot has enjoyed a sensational debut campaign at Liverpool and he is set to be backed in the transfer market this summer.
The Reds are expected to sign several new players ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, as they look to bolster the squad at Slot’s disposal, but a number of current stars could be offloaded in order to raise transfer funds.

Below, FootballTransfers runs through five players who could leave Liverpool this summer.
Darwin Nunez
Slot has criticised Darwin Nunez on a few occasions so far this season and a summer exit could well be on the cards amid significant interest from the Saudi Pro League.

The Uruguay international has been a major disappointment since his €85 million arrival from Benfica, and Liverpool may look to cut their losses this summer.
Alexander Isak and Joao Pedro have both been linked with an Anfield switch, and the Reds could be forced to offload Nunez in order to sign a new striker.

Federico Chiesa
Liverpool felt they had secured a bargain when they paid Juventus €12m for Federico Chiesa last summer but the Italian barely featured during his debut campaign with the club, playing just 104 minutes in the Premier League.
While Chiesa has historically struggled with injuries, the winger was fit for the majority of the season but just wasn't able to convince Arne Slot of his credentials.
A return to Italy is likely this summer.
Tyler Morton
Liverpool robbed promising midfielder Tyler Morton of a year of his career by refusing to sell him in the summer of 2024.
The 22-year-old midfielder returned from a hugely successful loan at Hull City and attracted interest from several clubs, including then-Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen.
However, Liverpool decided to keep him around the first team, only to not utilise him at all. Morton has to date played zero minutes of Premier League football and is expected to leave the club this summer.
Ibrahima Konate
Liverpool have been in contract talks with Ibrahima Konate for months as his current deal expires in 2026.
However, there has been little progress in these negotiations, while the Frenchman has fielded interest from Real Madrid and especially PSG.
Liverpool will reportedly listen to offers for the centre-back should they fail to reach an agreement with him before the season ends.

Luis Diaz
Luiz Diaz has been touted to secure a surprise Liverpool exit this summer and the Colombian could be sold as Slot looks to revamp his attacking roster.
Diaz has been linked with a number of top European clubs over the past year and despite his form at Anfield, a departure could be on the cards in 2025.
His contract is due to expire in 2027 and a sale may be required to avoid losing him for a cut-price fee next summer.
