EA Sports FC 24 player ratings: Top 25 defenders on the game

Mapi Leon, Ruben Dias and Virgil van Dijk are the three highest-rated defenders on EA Sports FC 24. The trio have all been given a base rating of 89 in the new game, which launches in September.

Dias and Van Dijk have starred in the Premier League for many years, while Leon is a stalwart of Barcelona Femeni’s backline.

Leon’s individual rating for defending is 90 in EA FC 24, which is one higher than Dias and Van Dijk, who both have 89 defending. The Premier League pair have a better physical stat, however, with Dias rated 87 for this attribute and Van Dijk rated 86. Leon’s physical rating is 81.

They are the joint-13th highest rated players in the entirety of EA Sports FC 24, alongside Mohamed Salah, Neymar and Alex Morgan.

EA Sports FC has been rebranded from its previous title of ‘FIFA’ and one of the major changes in the new game is the inclusion of women’s footballers in EA FC Ultimate Team.

It means that male and female players can be used together and they have been placed on the same rating scale.

In total, there are more female players (13) than male (12) in the list of the 25 highest-rated defenders on EA FC 24 in a strong category for the women’s game.

Lyon’s Wendie Renard and Barcelona’s Irene Paredes are two of the best defenders in women’s football and they are joint-fourth on the list of the highest rated defenders in EA Sports FC 24. They are both rated 88.

Marquinhos and Lucy Bronze are 87 rated in EA FC 24, while there are nine defenders with a rating of 86; Ronald Araujo, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joao Cancelo are among them.

Arsenal duo Leah Williamson and Katie McCabe are both 85 rated on EA FC 24, along with Jules Kounde, Theo Hernandez, and others.
