Man Utd Transfer News Today: Gyokeres DESPERATE to move as signing date revealed

All the latest Man Utd transfer news in one place, including updates on Viktor Gyokeres, Bryan Mbeumo and Emiliano Martinez.
Gyokeres in Sporting controversy

Sporting CP president Frederico Varandas has confirmed reports from Portugal that there is currently major tension with Viktor Gyokeres over a summer transfer.
Varandas disputes that a specific asking price was set for Gyokeres last year, although he has assured that he won't insist on his €100 million release clause being paid.
Gyokeres' representatives have been spreading claims that Sporting have agreed to let the player leave for €70m this summer, but Varandas now states that he wants more to sanction a transfer.
Man Utd still pushing for Gyokeres
According to Fabrizio Romano, Man Utd are eagerly watching developments at Sporting and maintaining constant contact with the player in a bid to get buy-in from him for a transfer.
It is still unclear if Man Utd could afford to sign the Sweden international, especially following Varandas' revelation that he won't settle for a €70m fee.
Man Utd are calling Gyokeres' camp daily to be kept up to date on any potential transfer developments.
Mbeumo deal done soon

Man Utd are confident that they will finalise the signing of Bryan Mbeumo in the not-too-distant future, with the club fully expecting the Cameroon international to be available for the start of pre-season in early July.
Man Utd and Brentford remain locked in talks for the winger after the Bees rejected an opening bid for him last week. Mbeumo has already informed his club of his desire to make the move to Old Trafford.
Mbeumo is likely to require a similar outlay to Matheus Cunha, who set Man Utd back €74m.
Man Utd eye Bulka

Man Utd have identified Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka as a potential replacement for Andre Onana, although they have yet to make a final decision on whether or not to upgrade on the shot-stopper.
Bulka has been impressing for INEOS-owned Nice for a few seasons and is ready to take the next step in his career. He was previously courted by Barcelona.
Man Utd also maintain their interest in Aston Villa star Emiliano Martinez, but they face competition from Atletico Madrid for the World Cup winner.
Vieri talks up Kean

Italy legend Christian Vieri has hailed Man Utd target Moise Kean while discussing Italy's striker options with the Italian Football Podcast. The Fiorentina striker is expected to be one to watch this summer.
Kean has a release clause north of €50m and has been fielding interest from several clubs around Europe, with Man Utd thought to be among his admirers.
"We do have Kean and [Mateo] Retegui. They are two very good strikers. If they play together they are very dangerous. Kean is a phenomenal striker, a phenomenal centre forward," Vieri said.
