Sesko breakthrough! Man Utd have 'growing belief' as official offer lands

Manchester United are locked in a battle with Newcastle to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, and football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided a fresh update on the deal.
Bids have come from both Premier League giants this week, with Newcastle seeking to make an offer that Man Utd are unable to match.
Eddie Howe’s side, who are at risk of seeing Alexander Isak leave for Liverpool in a British-record deal, are hopeful that if they can make a proposal their rivals cannot match, Sesko will be jetting to St James’ Park.

It looks increasingly likely, though, that Man Utd will win the day.
Sky Sports reports: “There is club-to-club agreement yet - but Man Utd remain in talks with RB Leipzig over a deal after making an offer worth an initial £65m plus £8.9m in add-ons.
“Newcastle have tried everything to get a deal done for the Slovenian forward and their bid is worth more than Manchester United’s. However, it appears the player’s desire is to go to Old Trafford.
“It was thought Man Utd would not make a formal offer unless they got a clear indication Sesko wanted the move.”
Sesko to Man Utd: Expert view from Germany
No transfer fee has been agreed with the Bundesliga side, but the sense from Germany is that Ruben Amorim will have Sesko in his squad for the start of the season.
Sky Sport Deutschland correspondent Florian Plettenberg tweeted: “There is and was always a feeling that Benjamin Sesko would choose Man Utd over all current options.
“Nothing has changed in recent days. Manchester United’s offer was crucial. If RB Leipzig and Man Utd reach an agreement, it is very likely that Sesko will join them.”
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that an official contract offer has been made by Man Utd to the Sesko camp, indicating that the Red Devils are stepping up their approach for the player.
