The big spenders will be out in force again this summer, with Real Madrid looking to back new boss Xabi Alonso, Chelsea keen to improve again after securing Champions League qualification, and Manchester United desperate to reclaim some kind of success after a disastrous season that saw them finish just three places above the relegation zone in the Premier League.

The Red Devils have signed Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, with Man City also flexing their financial power to sign Tijani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli and Rayan Cherki.

Chelsea have signed Liam Delap, Jorrel Hato, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens, notably.

Arsenal have been very busy, too, bringing in Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard and Cristhian Mosquera.

The biggest deal so far this summer saw Florian Wirtz complete a blockbuster transfer to Liverpool from Leverkusen, while they also brought in Hugo Ekitike from the Bundesliga. Luis Diaz went in the other direction, signing for German giants Bayern Munich.

Newcastle back in for Guehi

Newcastle will approach Crystal Palace for Marc Guehi again.

The central defender has been linked with both Newcastle and Liverpool this summer but so far neither club has been willing to match Palace's £50 million asking price.

Interestingly, Liverpool have have to play Waturu Endo and Andy Robertson at centre-back during pre-season so they may come in for another bid for Guehi also. (Sky Sports)

FOUR clubs interested in Hojlund

Leverkusen, Millan, Inter and Juventus are all interested in saving Rasmus Hojlund from his Man Utd nightmare, according to Caught Offside.

The young forward has not lived up to expectations since his big-money move from Atalanta and United are reportedly keen to sign a new striker this summer.

Fabrizio Romano previously stated that Hojlund does not want to leave Old Trafford, however.

"Rasmus Højlund doesn’t want to leave Manchester United this summer, his desire is to stay. The only possibility for sale is in case United decide to advance in talks and proceed with his exit. Inter, keen for weeks but deal now in stand-by."

Moyes expecting Everton signings soon

David Moyes has been saying all summer that Everton desperately need new recruits ahead of the new season and it looks like he'll get his wish soon.

“I think there will be deals next week, I think there will be. I think we are getting much closer,” the Everton boss told the media after the friendly draw with Man United.

“I have got to say, I thought that four or five weeks ago, as well. But, obviously, we are getting near the tickly bits and have got to get some things done.”

The Telegraph reports that Moyes wants as many as SIX new signings before the window closes.

Could he do a job at Old Trafford?

Jackson likely to leave Chelsea

It is looking "increasingly likely" that Nicolas Jackson will leave Chelsea this summer, according to David Ornstein.

Following the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, Jackson has fell down the centre-forward pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

Milan and Man Utd have been the teams closely linked with the Senegal striker, but both baulked at Chelsea's exorbitant asking price.

Having said that, Jackson will probably depart Chelsea in some way in this transfer window.

An update on Rodrygo's situation

Real Madrid forward Rodrygo has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs this summer and Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the Brazilian's current situation.

"Rodrygo has still not communicated his desire to leave," Romano said on his YouTube channel.

"Real Madrid are keeping their doors open for Rodrygo to leave if a big proposal, €100 million, arrives.

"Rodrygo still wants to stay at Real Madrid, to compete at Real Madrid. He loves Real Madrid and his desire is to be an important player.

"So for him to leave it would take a very top proposal from a very top club to convince him. So far there have been no bids."
