Chelsea 1st, Liverpool 4th: Which teams have earned the most from sales this summer?

Chelsea earned the most money from sales of any club in world football during the 2025 summer transfer window.

Enzo Maresca’s side prioritised offloading their unwanted stars in the summer and earned a whopping €332.3 million in the process.

Noni Madueke was their most expensive departure, joining Arsenal for €56m, while the Blues also sold the likes of Joao Felix, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Renato Veiga and Carney Chukwuemeka, among many, many others.

Bournemouth are in second place after being picked apart following their impressive 2024-25 campaign under Andoni Iraola. Ilya Zabarnyi, Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez and Dango Ouatarra all left for over €40m, with the club earning a total of €238.4m through sales this summer.

Bayer Leverkusen are third after a devastating window that saw them not only lose head coach Xabi Alonso but also a host of key players like Florian Wirtz, Granit Xhaka, Jeremie Frimpong and Piero Hincapie. Eight players departed for a fee, adding up to a total of €229.5m.

Liverpool boast the fourth-highest income through sales this summer, largely thanks to the exits of Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich, Darwin Nunez to Al-Hilal and Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen. In total, Arne Slot’s side have earned €219.5m via player sales this summer.

In fifth place is Newcastle due to the Premier League record transfer of Alexander Isak to Liverpool for €145m. Lloyd Kelly and Sean Longstaff also brought in funds for a total of €176m.

AC Milan are sixth after racking up an income of €169.3m due to eight permanent sales, including Tijjani Reijnders, Malick Thiaw and Theo Hernandez.

RB Leipzig made €160.1m from high-profile departures such as Benjamin Sesko and Xavi Simons. Brentford just about beat Brighton to eighth place, having made €155.3m compared to the Seagulls' €155m.

Wolves complete the top 10 after losing Matheus Cunha, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Fabio Silva and Goncalo Guedes for €137.5m.
