The 22-year-old has been an integral player at Dens Park this season, following his return from a loan spell at Falkirk, and his form has attracted the attention of multiple scouts across England and Scotland.

It’s understood that Championship side Portsmouth saw a bid worth over €1.7 million rejected during the recent January transfer window, and they could be set to miss out on Graham’s signature entirely as Rangers are in advanced talks to finalise a transfer.

Since the arrival of US businessman Andrew Cavenagh as chairman and 49ers Enterprises last May, Rangers have spent €46.7m on new signings and they are expected to back head coach Danny Rohl in the market once again this summer.

The Scottish giants have identified a number of top targets ahead of the upcoming transfer window, and Graham is among the players they are keen to bring to Ibrox ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

Rangers sent scouts to watch him in action for Scotland's U21 side against Czech Republic on Friday night and it’s believed they are set to intensify their pursuit of his signature over the coming weeks.

Luke Graham to join Rangers?

Speaking on Record Sport's Hotline Live, transfer journalist Keith Jackson said: "I think they [Rangers] are quite far down the line with Luke Graham. I think he's been identified for a number of weeks now.

“Interestingly, I believe that Andrew Cavenagh is quite central to some of the discussions. You would have expected him to delegate and let the minions handle that stuff but I think he has taken personal interest in what the recruitment department are looking at this summer.

“I expect them to put a bid in for him. It wouldn't surprise me if they did a deal with Dundee to buy him and then loan him back next season so he can get another year of Premiership experience.

“That would be better for his development than sitting struggling to get minutes at Ibrox.”
